Dev Log - April 13, 2025

Well… shit. This is taking longer than I’d hoped. I’m really sorry for the wait, I truly am. I’ve been putting in at least six hours a day (usually more), and things are coming along, but there’s still more work to be done.
This update has basically turned into a double chapter, and all the added content has meant a ton of extra work. As I’ve said before, I won’t half-ass anything just to get it out quicker. For better or worse, it’ll take as long as it takes to get it right.
The good news is that I’m almost finished all the extra renders and animations, so we’re getting close, but I still need about another week or so to wrap things up.
Now due to the long development time for this update I know there are always going to be a few skeptics out there. But just to be clear, I don't release anything until I’m proud of it. That's always been my approach. If you're ever unsure, I absolutely encourage you to wait until an update drops before pledging. No pressure. I want you to feel good about supporting the project, not just financially, but creatively too.
To everyone who supports me, whether through pledges, kind words or just by playing the game, thank you. I couldn’t do this without you. Your support is what keeps me going, and I’m incredibly grateful for it.

If I run into a tricky scene that won't render properly or I have family obligations that take up several days that I thought I'd have to work etc, etc. From now on I'm not giving a release window until the update is essentially done and I'm in the testing phase with all the renders and script complete.

2025-04-13 23:36:17 +0000 UTCThe waiting is fine - but it's a bit frustrating seeing the loop of estimated release followed by delay happen over and over. I'd prefer not seeing any mention of an expected release window until it's out.
