Dev log - January, 26, 2025

Hey everyone,

It’s time for another dev log!

We’re nearing the end of January, and up here in the Great White North, we’re about a third of the way through shoveling season. Not that I’m complaining, it's the only thing keeping me active enough to avoid winter weight gain! So far, 2025 has been pretty quiet for me, with most of my time spent deep in DAZ and Ren’Py. It’s a grind, but a rewarding one.

Development on Chapter 7 is steadily moving forward. I’ve had to revisit and redo a few renders and tweak some scenes after giving them a fresh playthrough. Taking a step back and coming at it with fresh eyes always helps, though it’s a reminder that I need to take more breaks during my work sessions. Time tends to fly by, five or six hours can disappear in no time!

I recently had my wife play through three of the completed scenes, and her feedback has been really encouraging. She’s my toughest critic, so hearing that she enjoyed them means a lot. Right now, I feel like Chapter 7 has a strong balance of story progression, lewd scenes, and character development. At this point, I’d estimate the chapter is about 65% complete. If things continue moving at the current pace, I’m on track to wrap it up by the end of February. I know most of you wish updates came out more frequently, but I want to avoid rushing the process and sacrificing quality. I hope you can understand that maintaining a high standard takes time, even if it means slightly longer waits between releases.

I know not everyone was thrilled about the Halloween special delaying progress on the main story, and I totally get that. However, working on something different for a bit gave me the mental reset I needed. Spending so many hours immersed in the same story every day can be exhausting, and taking a short creative detour helped me come back to The East Block with renewed energy and focus.

As always, I’m deeply grateful for your support, it means the world to me. I’ve included a couple of renders from the next update and I’ll also be sharing some exclusive renders for the $16 and $50 tiers shortly, and I’ll have something for the lower tiers within the next day or so.
