Yes, finally I can reveal what has kept me so busy the past few months; I have been toiling away on the color work for this remastered re-release of the original 80s Palladium TMNT roleplaying game. The official Kickstarter will be going live on October 31st and you can check it out here and sigh up for updates and such if you're jonsein' to return to TMNT in pen and paper RPG form. Naturally, if you're excited for a new TMNT RPG release, backing the project is the way to go. I can definitely say it's been trippy working on colors for this and am very happy with how it all has turned out so far.
The amount of work I've done for this project has been... significant, so, this is why I have been terribly tied up and unable to maintain the release schedule for the 3D printing here on the Patreon.
I've been trying to catch a moment to drop in here with some form of update. Rather than winding down (as I had thought was somewhat the case when I last posted), the work has evolved into a marathon to the finish line (and not complaining at all, it's just the nature of doing large projects, you eventually come down to the wire). Again, while this has kept me mad busy, I in no way have any plans to quit 3D printing or producing content for the Patreon. Unfortunately, as I have stated prior, work will drop here, when it drops, until this particular project is either in the rear window and has evened out to a more casual volume of work.
What's been fantastic (at least on my end) is this Palladium project, while challenging, has continued to be a total blast to work on and, the important part, is paying the bills. All, in all, I can't complain, it's a very cool gig. For the Patreon, there's a pile of stuff now, I either had waiting in the wings or was planning to tackle, so work will be coming. I've always intended to continue STL releases (and they will resume as time shores up) but I also plan to drop more artwork as well (both related to the 3D printed fighters and unrelated work). There's a lot I want to do, so, by no means am I dropping all of this, it's just that, for better or worse, freelance is what's paying the bills at the moment. I know most of you understand how that goes, especially when the economy is in a state like it is now.
Seeing tabletop gaming and 3D printing is pretty much tied at the hip, I imagine this news may be of great interest to some of you. If not, I immensely thank you all for the continued support so far (believe me it has helped and is appreciated). I'm also sorry the releases have been slim this year, due to a number of factors; my cat's adventures at the vet (he continues to do wonderfully post surgery by the way) and certainly this very large project with Palladium being large factors. Those of you that wish to continue support, please hang in there, more work is down the line and the support so far has been going into the 3D printing specifically. I just bought a mini heater, made for resin printers, so this winter I shouldn't have as much trouble printing. I'm also planning to get a new printer to replace the Mars 2 (likely a Mars 3) during the Black Friday sales. So my printing days are far from over.
I hope everyone's well and may you all have a wonderful weekend! Always, thank you all for the continued support and interest!
