2024-03-17 00:47:48 +0000 UTCI have been sick so I have mostly just been working and sleeping so I am just now watching this. I voted for a different film, but I do like this one. I obviously never saw it in theaters and only saw it on TV. I was confused the first time I watched it so I looked online about it. I learned that different theaters had different endings, not all three endings. I think it is a fun and clever way to do a comedic mystery film (especially since it is based on a game that has a different answer each time you play), but I heard the different endings for different viewings backfired and caused the film to do poorly at the box office. As far as I know, there is still debate about the "real" ending/killer(s).

The writers/director was trying to more closely align with the source material by giving the film multiple endings. If you went to see it in the theaters it was randomized which ending you'd get and people could have discussions about which one they got to see.
