I have made some decent progress designing custom mechanics over the weekend.
I hate how painfully slow paced 1.9+ combat is, and I want to give the player plenty of options to deal with swarms of enemies. This video showcases two (work in progress!) items with "spell" abilities, which can be activated by right-clicking. All spells share a common cooldown, so you better don't miss.
I have designed about a dozen spells, and these two are some of the more simplistic ones. I'm not going to spoil the crazy ones ;-)
