Okay! So first, a TLDR of things that have happened this month:
So! Firstly, I suppose I'll go over one of the bigger game changers (pun intended) regarding the project. We were selected for Humble Game's Black Game Developer Fund! This fund essentially secures us start up funds to create an exciting demo with significantly less burden. Our demo will also then be evaluated for larger investment or publishing!
You can read more about that here: https://www.humblegames.com/updates-article/humble-funds-its-first-five-games-through-the-1-million-black-game-developer-fund/
A lot of time, commitment, and support has led us to this point, and I'm very grateful that the team was selected for this! We've already begun drastically making some changes to the team, process, and production schedule to better ourselves for the work that will be involved to make this happen!
We'll still be keeping the Patreon up, and keeping you all up to date regarding development as usual.
As mentioned in the previous update, Cocefi has been helping us design our UI! They've already got us a really cool UI style, and we're already working on implementing it in engine. Here are some concepts and gifs:

We picked up another Background Artist and have begin some level layout designs, along with updating some concept art for the game areas.
Here's an updated piece of concept art for the Cloud Domain, one of the many areas of the game:

I figured for the New Year (and many because of the other exciting things that have happened recently), how about a website update?

Also, the Discord folks probably noticed first, but all of the revealed characters (Except Float as usual) have updated icons inside of the new character roster panel:

I'm working on bring some additional animators to the team (some promising candidates!) and we're still doing really well in the animation area! Most of the recently animations that were completed we're for an enemy type that hasn't been show off yet, so.... you'll get a Shorty animation instead:

Did you get a change to hear Peb's Theme (The Crafty Critter)? Alan did an awesome job on it! Also, he used spoons.

If you follow up on Twitter, you've probably seen that we've been holding auditions for voice actors the last 2 weeks and just closed it the other day! The roles were for Breeze, Temper, Hume, Drop, Camo, and Windy.
Apparently, we've ended up with 400+ auditions! That'll be keeping us busy ~
We've also selected a Narrative Consultant as well, and they are being slammed with a lot of stuff right now, but happy to see that they are really excited with what we've been putting together thus far!
