After much deliberation and back-and-forth over the numerous details required to perfect it, the front cover art (and its equally impressive alternative!) for this year's main project, Neon Vein, is finally here! I collaborated closely with What-A-Mass to ensure the image best reflects what to expect in terms of tone, excitement, and size in my 1980s tale of ambition inspired by Breaking Bad, Love Lies Bleeding, and Scarface.

Neon Vein follows Veronica, a chemistry major who lives in Blackridge, a once-thriving Rust Belt town now rundown by crime and poverty. As her mother's medical bills rack up, Veronica is thrust into a dire situation of paying off the debts the only way she can: selling steroids to clients eager to win in the ever-growing bodybuilding industry. Then, as she and her product make names for themselves, Veronica thinks bigger, garnering the attention of a very ambitious drug lord.

To set some expectations: Neon Vein treads a delicate line between fantasy and realism. I am doing my utmost to ensure that the story remains realistic and believable whilst allowing just enough space for the more...exciting elements to embody a sense of fantasy without straying too far.
