Glory to the Legion! You have my buck and shoes. This video was the best product you have put. I lolled so hard with the Perun bit that my baby got startled and started crying. This drips with so much love for setting that warms my heart. (Despite Kai Allard Liao dripping in plot armor as thick as YouTube’s contempt) you and your team have done us proud once again. Now get back to work. Freight ain’t gonna move itself!

Fabricator Locum

You all did Grand Tex, The Team Rocks, You Rock, Fuck Google, Fuck Youtube, We'll get it done.

Grimos

I posted about the Fundraiser raising 14k on Facebook, got one "thumbs up". That says everything it needs to be about Facebook, shadow banning and my "friends".

Walt_Man

Love the video, love this, and love you, sir!

Matthew Phillips

I will say this, as I have said before: You are a mensch. Nothing in this day and age is the product of a single person - particularly a beast like Battletech. But the world is made by the people who show up for the job, and you have been showing up for a long damn time. We are better for it, for your team, for your collective dedication and artistry, and for the sheer batshit crazy that we all love and share in. Mahalo.

BZArcher (Blind Zen Archer)

"We will win, because we give a shit." It's lines like that which make it easy to pick out your voice in the choir. Also, and I know you didn't mean it this way, don't call an honest man a liar. Taking compliments is a skill that can be learned just like any other. (though pot calling kettle) Congratulations Tex.

Captain1nsaneo

Outstanding speech! Twycross was amazing! Keep it all up!

B-Mang

Tex. You are not a magical human. We don't expect you to be. We all sincerely want you to find in yourself some selfishness and ego that would allow you to combine resting and relaxing with your seemingly self punishing creative efforts. We love the work you, your team and all other collaborators on your projects do. But it gives us even greater joy when we hear you say that you enjoyed working on said project and how proud you are of everyone involved. Tex, if you are a voice in a choir then you are "The Bottom Bass" (or second bass), the powerhouse section of the choir and, because most of the time they are singing the root of the chord, they provide the essential platform above which the other voices can weave their harmonies. Thanks to your voice we heard, and enjoy our time with, entities like Doctor Who's The Chef, Kirspy, MadDucks, Squic... Tex, thanks to you, the choir that is The BPL is known to a small corner of the Internet. And the Internet is better for it.

Quinlist

Tex, to me you are the voice of Battletech. Your films are what brought me into the battletech world. Your passion for the setting made me have passion for it. So to me... it is an earned title. I loved the film. My son asked "daddy is it over yet? It's really long." And all I could do was chuckle and say just a bit more.. and it kept going. And it was amazing. Thanks to the team for all the hard work. It really shows in the final production. Can not wait to see what's next. HAIL Cargonia!

Gera5915

Save your voice if you like. I think the "Tex is the voice of Battletech" thing is more an issue of terminology than anything else, as your productions are far and away the best Battletech content out there. We all know you have a fantastic team, and there are contributors outside the BPL, so that's not a good label either. What should we call the Tex Talks Film Crew so we can get it right?

Bryligg

Fine Words Tex! You may not intend it, but you definitely have a talent for motivating myself & others to take up our clubs then run through a wall for the cause! Literally & Figuratively. Cheers to you & the Team! (Next part just a personal share to y'all & no need for reading aloud) I really enjoyed watching the premier live & it looked amazing on my game room tv! It was a lot of fun interacting with the nice folks in the chat. I'll definitely have to watch the film a few more times to catch all the goodness. I'm still trying to navigate the Aux Discord & want to contribute to the community more in the future. Just wanna do some good & be a part of something positive. It ain't much, but I'd rather support good people in the Legion than a faceless corporation. Even if they are strangers in the internet at this time.

RobinWhiteTX

Missed the premier, but finally sat down to watch it as movie night with my sons on Monday. We loved it. Great work, and well worth the wait!

Team CasterClan

You all did the best job on this movie. I've decided to amuse myself with a compromise - sure, you're a voice in the choir, but you're the metaphorical Lead Soprano, who composes his own parts and makes them better. So there. :p

Ginger_Bitters

I missed the livestream because I was helping out at a Red Cross reunion and then finalized our next battle in my ongoing Battletech campaign. I want to thank the amazing people at the BPL and all the others who joined in to put their shoulder under that weight. Thank you, it was amazing. Thank you for your art, your voice, your mad video and editing skills and every other contribution. Thank you to the community, keep sending in those C-Bills if and when you can. Thank you Tex, you may not like it when we praise you, but you're doing more than your fair share and it deserves a good pat on the back. It comes from a guy who has a huge aversion of being in the spotlight. And for my own contribution ? In two days from this writing the Troubleshooters are going to tango with House Hiritsu, in the 3048 invasion of Ambergrist. They are the anvil, the Kell Hounds are the hammer. They must hold at any cost. Thanks again to everyone including my gang of players who are so deep into this campaign to make caps and T-Shirts with the unit logo they designed.

Nonkel Bob

Cheers mate, thanks for the help!

Jimitheskin

Save your voice if needed. Ok so. I was recently given access to a pretty substantial chunk of land with the expectation that I would be both hunting and shooting recreationally regularly on it. I'm going to need to build any ranges myself. I can comfortably set target positions out to 150 yards and potentially up to double that. What are some things you feel are requirements for outdoor pistol and rifle ranges aside from the obvious stuff like a good back stop? Anything else that's nice to have but not required?

GraniteElephant

Thank you for your best video art yet The whole team outperformed any expectation. The passion and joy you all exhibit in your work is incredible, and I hope you all keep going as long as you have the drive. Alsonhoping for a Periphery 101 video some day as well, the IS video is fantastic.(It's not evil, just smug, and yes that is just as bad.) Thank you all, and well done. You should be very proud.

Matt Maser

You need to click on the reaction buttons at the end of the second post im the rules thread to be allowed to the rest of the server

GraniteElephant

Teamwork is the only way we make it work

The Mailman

The Mailman always delivers. Sometimes immediately. Sometimes on time. Usually eventually. That's fuckin' teamwork.

Vendrette, The Postalmech

Hey, Tex! About a year ago I commented here to tell you that I was going to use your Dr. Christmas documentary as a sort of gateway drug to get my dad into Battletech via your other films. I just wanted to let you know that my weird plan worked and we both greatly enjoyed the Twycross episode.

Rick Jenkins

Same playbook here, my dude. Pay Caesar his due but vote with the wallet

Steve Constant, 'Splash Mountain'

(Save your voice, read with the inside head voice) Good Day, Mr. Tex and Team. Outstanding production and I salute y'all. Your updates here are superb, going above and beyond other Patreons I've encountered. My question (apologies if a repeat) is: will the productions ever be offered in physical copies? DVDs, VHS, Betamax?

Steve Constant, 'Splash Mountain'

I'm immensely proud of what your crew accomplished and what the community has accomplished in the course of appreciating your work. NINETEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS EVERYONE. FUCK CANCER.

The Clag

Also, the way you and Dep drive semi-trucks they may have seen you coming

Big Nick Rethemeyer

Tex, I don’t write in very often, but this is one of those times. Twycross was, without a doubt, the finest production you and the BPL have put together to date. It’s incredible to see the growth you’ve all achieved over the years of producing these videos. You and your team should be extremely proud. And as much as the speech put emphasis on the community for being responsible for this video…I know you don’t like the spotlight, but this also wouldn’t have been possible without the drive, creativity, and passion of you and your team, as well as your unique voice and presentation style. You guys deserve a ton of credit for igniting (and reigniting) the passion people have for BattleTech, and you should be incredibly proud of that achievement. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for everything you do for this hobby. Hope you and the team have a good long rest, you’ve all earned it. PS. That cameo towards the end? The b33f?! Did NOT see that coming, incredible!

Argus9 (Jonathan)

Posted this in one of the threads leading up to primer so if you're seen it already feel free to skip I watched the video Tex, you knocked it out of the park, as expected. I legitimately hyperventilated laughing when you got Perun on there. I also saw the phone number for 1800VanZandt and decided to Google the number and see if it was claimed. I also saw a MAPS result. 1800 Van Zandt road is exactly what I expected. An empty intersection that someone was doing Donuts in... but there was an interesting surprise, and perhaps new bit of lore. They barricaded the fire hydrant. The fire hydrant is too dangerous for unrestricted access, so they barricaded it. Presumably for your protection. Either that, or the Fire hydrant is VIP only and that's why those are there. Anyway check it out. https://www.google.com/maps/@32.5597551,-94.3835381,3a,44.6y,133.41h,78.53t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sqDMLwLAI6e9Fb6p4V3EKAg!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D11.467990941780315%26panoid%3DqDMLwLAI6e9Fb6p4V3EKAg%26yaw%3D133.40740791037803!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205410&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkyNS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

Big Nick Rethemeyer

Twycross was amazing. Thanks to you and your team. You may not necessarily be the voice of the Battletech resurgence, but you were making high quality videos alongside it when HBS BT, MW5 and CGL were getting their respective products up to speed. Your channel became a nexus of sorts. People chose to stay because of how genuine you, your crew and the community are. BPL was around before you started YouTube, but it’s been your choice of FRAPS over a handle of whiskey that germinated to allow everyone to contribute and make it what it’s become. It’s a thing of beauty

GillyMonster

So, just used the link to join the server, but don’t have access to channels. I’m a complete noob with Discord. Little help?

Jimitheskin

Tex, you and the team did amazing work on the film. My sons and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Perun cameo was a particularly pleasant surprise, as I enjoy his channel as well. Cheers brother

Kyle Quigley

WOW! Say it proud! Say it loud! I totally agree with everything, but know this! WE love you (the BPL) as a fan base! Just look at the AUX's numbers! Take a bow and a small VaCa (all of you), you've earned it!

Pistol6699

I'm back baby! I got money to blow again and its going straight to you Tex! Keep up the good work brother 😁

Jalatron

You may not feel that you are "the" voice, but you are the voice "we heard" and now we can hear the rest of the choir. And for that I thank you good sir. I can now see/feel/hear others with the like interest. Young and old. Again thank you.

Tempest Crow

Though I missed the premiere due attending a concert with my wife, I was so very impressed and moved by it and I'm so proud and always blown away by what you guys do and pull off. My question is; do you right leg first or left leg or have no real preference when putting on black pants?

WinglessRayven

Here, brother. Allow me to translate your speech so all in-universe factions may understand: :: Professor Tex to YouTube :: Get fucking bent, weirdo. :: Clanners to YouTube :: You dare refuse our Batchall to a Trial Of Possession for your pants!? We bid the entire Black Pants Legion! :: Steiner Scout Squad to YouTube:: (in German) LET THE SCOUTING COMMENCE! :: Van Zandt Free State Militia to YouTube :: What in the cinnamon toast fuck is a UseToon? Nuke it!

MrToBeNamedLater

The thing that amuses me in the most benign way is that the more that Tex protests with his utter and clear sincerity that he is nothing special and nothing magical in this day and age of one man show content creators that every time we hear it the more we as shown was in excellent person Tex is. He is not a one man show, his team are excellent and everything they do is above and beyond. It does not take away the fact that Tex is far more than "just some guy".

Diobovinius

I joined the Van Zandt militia because Warhammer content went shit and the BPL shone through. I didn't even know what LRM meant. I stayed for your principled argument against the decline and the depth and substance of the content. I'd liken you to Hari Saldon and the BPL to the Foundation. It can't be done alone, but it can be done well, to fight the decline. To use your own words against your humbleness : Thank you for being the 'good enough' of military procurement. Just. fucking. perfect.

Lubomír Bednář

Tex you make me humble with how your integrate just lay low so many money hungry hungry hippo copycats. I truly hope you continue creating with your brilliant knowledge as long as you love doing it!

Ravoner

Greetings, Tex. A pleasure as always to hear from you. The film, in every respect, was fantastic. I loved the art. I loved the voice acting. I absolutely loved the commercials, and I adored both of Goat's songs at the end. This was worth every penny we spent, and more. Don't Let The (YouTube) Bastards Grind Ya Down. Joy of the day to you and the team, Resist and Bite, and Northwind Forever.

Bolo Unit BRL of the Line

Tex no question but I did try to blow up the train for you but failed my explosive check so back to the drawing board. See next time space cowboy

russell marsh

I'm looking forward to whatever madness they cook up. It's always a hoot

MaezHughes

Oh and fuck the machine

The Mailman

The movie was absolutely amazing, and I know it wouldn't have been the quality it was if it wasn't for the community as a whole. What started as a project if "Fuck you watch me" has turned into wonderful works of art. Regarding the community, here was my day...started kind of shitty, then while on route I get a discord message from Vendrette saying he needed backup for how bad a mailman tan is, Inthen reply immediately with my arm and a naked foot pic....then someone added some rad stickers and its my new background...If that doesn't sum up our madness I'm not sure what does...Thank you as always Tex, here's to you and the crew, cheers...*tasteful clink*

The Mailman

GLORY TO THE LEGION! GLORY TO CARGONIA!

MaezHughes

I pay for Youtube premium because i hate the commercials. But, I also back the BPL because I want to support things I love.

Mark Skarr

The amount you have all grown as filmmakers over this very short time is amazing, i cant do more than wait patiently for what you all work on next. Thank you fot all the work you amd your crew have done over the years. You do good work.

that guy named dan

I am pleased to report that none of my friend groups required me to inform them that the video dropped.

They Call Me Soup Can

Evening Mr. Tex. I was finally able to catch the premiere. I wavs only interrupted 50 thousand times, but I caught it. I have decided to try and take you up on the one year challenge you proposed several updates ago, and do a thing for a year and then share it, only starting late because I guess I like hard mode (or, more likely, I'm an idiot). The thing being, I'm a fan of military fiction and science fiction, and I'd like to try my hand at that. But I'm autistic about background details, my question to you is, would you have any books you can recommend where a layman can learn of the manifold sins of the military industrial complex? While whatever knowledge I get won't make me an expert, I'd like to glean just enough so a subject matter expert reads what I wrote and thinks to themselves 'oh hey, this dumbass did his homework.' Thank you for your time, keep on keeping on. I'm so excited for Magistratum Mundanus. Viva Space Mexico, Long live Van Zandt.

Santo

G17 to Delta good job to you and your team. You made a week that had turned to crap end on a good note. I was there for the premiere. My thanks to your whole team. Lets banned together and make the algorithm praise z0rg!!!

Dragon Blade

The stream broke 4k live viewers. You guys should be proud. As always it was worth wait.

Dopeskone

Tex, well said. One of these days, we're gonna sit down and have a cigar or two. -Spara

Jason Turner

Thank you folks for an amazing film. For the next video should do a Discount Dan ad for a BattleTech version of Raid Shadow Legends, or a VPN to get around Comstar, just to poke at the ad folks.

Maehock

This is a great update man. I got emotional a bit dude.

Crowind

The film was incredible, sir. My hat's off to you and your team.

Korehammer

As for not taking credits for your work, I think you have the talent to not only surround yourself with talent full teammates and the humility to give them the credit they deserve. However, without your plan and your drive to create, it wouldn't have seen the light of the day. So... thank you Tex.

Mathieu Martineau

Hey man if you ever want to ask questions or poke me on discord you are more than welcome! You can find me in the aux.

Crowind

The quality showed through on the project, thanks once again to you and the whole team Tex. I got to sit on my couch like a big kid, with a bigger bowl of cereal, and enjoy it. Don't pander to the tube clown cancer, keep doing what you're doing because we will all be here to support you. They can throttle us all they like, jokes on them, we like that shit. Excited to see the Black Knight come to the screen next. No question from me this week, only support for the legion.

Sean O'Donnell

Gentlemen, congratulations on another excellent film. I watched the premiere and I'll be going through it several more times I'm sure. Thank you for all your hard work.

Krathognis

Oooooh Xmas dump, this year should be good

Jonathan Ginsburg

Congrats on a epic piece of film Tex, thanks to you and the team also ALL HAIL THE LEGION!!!

rhys vokes

Tex, thank you for all you do. Thank you very much for the passion you and your team put into your works. All your work is greatly appreciated.

Dresmirden

Tex, you talk like a man of elderly years, yet I remember you are younger than me. I wish more people could have as much integrity as you. Keep fighting!

G Jacobs

You are the Avi Kaplan of the choir. If you hadn't bought FRAPS that day, Tex Talks Battletech would not have happened. I'm not dismissing your team. We are grateful for them. But THEY are here because of YOU. Your criticism of the modern entertainment landscape is valid. But you overcompensate too much in the other direction. We know you have no ego. We just want you to stop dismissing your own skill.

Jay McIntyre

Thank you for all you do Tex. I think we need to take Tex’s words to hart. Any group is either growing or dying…that’s just how it works. For a very long time we were watching battle tech die. Thanks to Tex, CGL, HBS, Sarna, and all of the other streamers we have a renaissance. We the community need to take that ball and run with it. Share your knowledge and our game with anyone and everyone that wants to play. We all need to be the voice, we need to be the evangelists. We need to kick open doors for new gamers and not gate keep anyone out.

Tricia Ballad

As someone with some familiarity with the filmmaking process I definitely understand the desire to make sure that the artists, editors and other less visible talent get proper recognition (and decent pay). I applaud your impulse to do so. I’m sure your team appreciates it too. I know I would were I in the same position. Having said all that, please accept this compliment: If all you claim to be is a man with a desire to do the best he can with the support of good people like your team, then know that you have in my eyes succeeded and it is that very drive that keeps me coming back for more. Don’t change, you are all doing great and I appreciate both your vision and your ethos.

Sea Wolf

It was a great movie and the quality was definitely there. Congratulations and good jobs to you and your team. Have a good rest.

Mathieu Martineau
