One Month Update

Hey everyone,

It's hard for me to believe I have only been doing this for a month, because this has been quite a month. Pretty much overnight I went from making occasional maps and assets for my games to moonlighting as a professional artist. It has been challenging, but incredibly gratifying and I am feeling more motivated than ever.

I've just reached my first goal of 10 patrons, and I am so grateful to all of you for helping me get this off the ground. I already have a boss monster theme chosen for October- one requested by my very first patron- but expect to see a poll the first week of November for that month's boss monster map. CR5 folks, please DM me if you would like to submit an idea for the poll.

I'm excited to announce that my work can now be found here on the Roll20 Marketplace. As of now I have two map packs available, and several more are in the process of being approved by the Roll20 team.

I'm also pleased to announce some upcoming collaborative works. Later today I'll be posting an adventure module that was created as a 19 person effort. I've been fortunate enough to make some connections in the TTRPG creator community in my first month on the scene and I am humbled by the opportunity to work on such a fun adventure with a group of esteemed artists, writers and composers. I've also got a piece I am working on for an upcoming adventure by writer Brent Newhall.

My next goal is to build a tier for commercial licensing of my map releases. I wanted to make sure I could generate enough momentum to make this worthwhile, but after the positive reception of a few of my maps on various platforms, I've decided to pursue this.

Included with this post is an old image that I started 5 years ago for a campaign and never finished. 1 iPad and many Procreate updates later, I picked up where I left off on it recently and am calling it done. It was cathartic to finish something I had put down years ago. It's been many years since I've really put my work out there and made an honest attempt at being a practicing artist. It felt like a symbolic victory for me, and so I'm pleased to present the cruel and villainous Lord of the Deep Halls. Feel free to use this illustration as you'd like in your home games.

-Zach
