holiday card painting but make it chaotic + video plans!

steven and I's first holiday card together! I figured since we moved in this year and got settled, it would be a perfect time to make our first greeting card to send out to friends and family, so here is the illustration that will be featured on the front and a mini illustration for the inside <3

A silly scenario of adding a little too much spice to a batch of jumbo gingerbread men. Definitely inspired by Shrek 2 (i <3 mongo), J.C. Leyendecker, and the book A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher (A really fun story about a wizard who can only do baking/bread magic, perfect for the holiday season).

ALSO the speedpaint of this will be in an upcoming BAKE AND DRAW video planned to be posted on the channel during December sometime to wrap up the year!

We will be making a Yule Log Cake (here is the recipe!), filming the process, talking about art stuff that's happened this year and what we plan for 2025! A fun little Christmas special for the channel :)

Have you guys made a Yule Log Cake before? I have made a pumpkin roll cake before which sort of turned out well, so I am excited for this new baking challenge!

I will post more updates as we actually start production on the video, so in the meantime, I hope you are all enjoying the start of the holidays, finding peace and comfort where you can, even if it's only for a few minutes <3
