Announcement.
Added 2023-09-11 13:08:40 +0000 UTCToday I realised that I’m pushing myself too hard, and if I don’t change something I’m going to break.
I wrote today’s chapter for Accidental Champion and don’t feel like it’s up to the quality I want—and the quality that you guys deserve.
I’m currently writing two books at once, Surgecaller 9 and Accidental Champion 2, both with hard deadlines that seem immovable. I have no backlog chapters for Accidental Champion left, which means every chapter is done the night before they’re posted.
This has made writing hard almost every day for the past month and a half. It’s dialled my stress level up to about 10 and it’s just kind of stayed there. To remedy this, to write better—and more sustainably—I’m pausing billing for a month, and pausing Accidental Champion chapters until sometime in October.
I will also pause RR chapters until chapters here commence, so you'll always be ahead as a Patron.
Until then, I will be finishing Creation (Surgecaller 9) and continue posting chapters as they’re ready. Once that book is finished (it’s on pre-order for a 30 September release), I’ll be editing Accidental Champion 1 then handing it over to Aethon (who I’m about to sign with!). Then I’ll edit up to where I am for Accidental Champion 2 and commence writing chapters, which should be roughly mid-October.
This will mean when I get back to writing chapters, I’ll actually have the time I need. I don’t know that I will stick to a strict 5x chapters a week, or go to a model of posting chapters when they’re ready—either way, I will likely be producing 20-30+ chapters a month, so the number of chapters you guys get won’t be reduced. (If anything, they might go up.) It will just work significantly better for me, which will give you guys a less stressed, happier writer who feels better about their writing and in the end, gives you a better story.
Thank you all for reading, and for all your support.

Take care of yourself, quality is always better than quantity, and yours has always been of great quality.
