2025-10-13 06:39:32 +0000 UTCthe reason it didn’t seem as dark is that american slavery was especially cruel relative to what the eastern hemisphere was doing mostly due to the base and bias of the racial system they created. black and african people back then were considered fractions of people so if they were enslaved? you could hardly say they were even treated like property

We still pass those stories down. It is awful, and I wish it didn’t, wasn’t, would wouldn’t happen. Alas… here we are.

They’re definitely my favorite parts of the episode for how they set up this season’s themes, I’d definitely recommend reading them if you haven’t already!

When the Netflix version took a while to come out, I watched the Sentai version on Crunchyroll. So I’m curious about the VAs the choice to play the characters of season 2
