2025-10-10 05:37:37 +0000 UTCAllura and Kima's behavior this episode really put their tunnel vision into perspective and made Dohla's bitterness even more understandable. Taking Percy's pepperbox without asking, bamfing away and leaving Percy and Vex on their own, giving Percy crap for having a noisy weapon when she's wielding bright blue magic in a blizzard at night. It would SUCK to work with these two, ngl.

2025-10-10 05:36:57 +0000 UTCIirc from watching it years ago, the campaign version of this fight was a lot more straightforward. They basically just lured the Dragon out into the open and then dropped a Kaiju demon on him. And then proceeded to watch Matt play with his toys for a couple rounds before actually getting involved. It was great. Like I'm sure has been mentioned previously, the chroma conclave arcs do get combined a fair mount just due to time constraints, since IRL it took like a year+ worth of weekly games to resolve (I think, didn't look it up). So there was a lot less chaotic splitting of the party in the table version.

Unfortunately it has one line at the begining that spoils something from the end of the season, but it's such a good Kima & Allura duet, I love it. 2025-10-06 14:30:58 +0000 UTCThe monster they fight in hell is a Goristo. A demonic minotaur type. Which puts them just below some ancient dragons which vary from challenge rating 18 to challenge rating 24. That said take challenge rating with a grain of salt because the rating was not deisgned for a party of 8 people and so matt often homebrew the monsters to better balance the fight. A Goristo is on par with a Balor, which is basically what Gandalf fought. Just to give you an idea of the threat level. Also stronger than most adult dragons.

2025-10-06 14:14:19 +0000 UTCA lot of Percy's arc post briarwood was trying to figure who he is now without that quest. In the campaign its more direct that he left Whitestone for Cass to run because he didnt fully believe he was ready and he saw how dark he went during the briarwood arc and always saw himself as bad because of that. It was a lot of healing from trauma he still had. Plus the bounds he made with the rest of the group. Once the dragons show up he also assume responsibility for that along with rest of the team because they were protectors and he saw it as karmic payback possibly for all the evils he has done. He also tries to make sure as few people as oossible besides Whitestone have guns and sees himself as a monster just for creating guns.
