MouseTrap (STL+STEP)
Added 2023-09-22 17:20:16 +0000 UTCNot meant to be purshased, included with patronage, and stl free on printables ( https://www.printables.com/model/584629-mouse-trap-humane-for-catch-and-release) Last update - April 2024 (added magnet model, uses 6mmx3mm round magnets) This is a humane mouse trap for catch and release, so as to not hurt the mouse and allow relocation. Mouse was just for fun so included it anyway. Print support are optional. I only test printed it at 0.2mm layer height with 0.4mm nozzle Only tested PLA and PETG, but other materials should be fine. The trigger plate is one that might not live long term and may need to be reprinted once in a while. if used outdoor should not be PLA, and even PETG will fail in high heat sun. I've had indoor ones still functional after a few months, I otherwise just reprint the trigger plate. There is definitely some potential improvement to this design (even possibly designed with a spring system). But so far has been good enough to help me catch mice, as an alternative to using a box. I either place in the only passage way, or add a small treat in the middle. Use four M3x6 screws (will be screw in plastic), to secure the swivel doors, tighten the screws as much as possible but not all the way, so that the door can swivel freely without friction The trigger plate should be installed with smooth face up, just slide in and should clip.
