DYC

So, in Spain, there's the brand of hooch. It's called DYC. It costs about 10€ a bottle, which isn't bad. It's also pronounced, colloquially, "deek," which to me, sounds like "diiick," which does tend to bring my 13-year-old boy sense of humor out from hiding.

The closest thing I can compare it to is a particularly floral Lowland single malt with a slight stringent quality, albeit (spelled it right that time!!), but nothing unpalatable. There's a sweetness to it, which makes sense — if there's one particular kind of booze the Spaniards excel at it's brandy, though this stuff is certainly grain-based (and, as we all know, scotch is not called scotch unless it comes from Scotland).

I'd like to address something for a moment, if I may. I've never understood where the myth of "women don't like scotch" comes from. I happen to know a fine variety of XX carrying drunkards who love the stuff, myself included.

Most people go for blends, which as far as I'm concerned, is the way God intended it. Why have Scotch from only on particular region represented, when you can have a master distiller take different flavors, nuances and accents, and craft them into something greater than the sum of their parts? That's diversity, that, in a bottle. That's 'Murica. That's fre'dum.

(Hey, I get homesick sometimes, and meaning can be found in the strangest of places.)

"Bring me your tipsy, your stumbling, Your drunken masses, yearning to drink free, The sloppy refuse of your teeming pub. Send these, the buzzing, empty-mugged, to me, I lift my bottle beside the golden door!" — Emma Lazarus, The New Colossus (first draft)

Care to post a 2025 version of this for comparison?

Hahaha! XD I used to drink that brand, mixed with Coke, when I was 18 y.o., firstly because its lower price. Then, when I got my first job, I changed to Cutty Sark, and after one of the worst drunkenness of my life, I decided to drink "roncola" or "cubalibre".

I think you’ve found yourself a new career outside of writing. Maybe you could start a new trend away from the unfathomable insta-bootys.

Such a eloquent way of describing scotch. It’s all in what you enjoy whether it be single malt or a blend. Master distillers pit so much time and effort into their product, even the not so good ones deserve respect. Love the post lady.

How tall are you?

Jimmy

I used to be a big scotch guy myself but now it’s pretty much just 420! Not gonna try to get noticed anymore, I’m sure you don’t need a 48 year old telling you how beautiful you are etc etc... just enjoying your posts with no outcome in mind now! All the best :)

They look so huge here it’s almost like a morph - either that or all this talk of booze is making my eyes go funny. Are you going to post any longer videos soon please?

J

while breasts take up approximately 55% of this picture, I find myself still drawn somehow to your face. It could just be me, but there is a haunting beauty that resounds in any picture that has your face in it. I don't know if it is the eyes that seem to hide more stories behind them, the lips that only the greatest of men could ever hope to be gifted with, or the long, dark hair that seems to shape the entire frame of the beautiful picture, but my eyes keep tracing back. Nothing really to say about the alcohol though. While I do have a rather ridiculously high tolerance for drunkness, I tend to keep things simple with a nice cider if possible. If you have any recommendations for booze, I would love to see a post about your favorite brand names or thoughts on different types!

They seem bigger here? Like in a morph. Either way I like it. I too know plenty women who like scotch. I think it's traditionally a man's drink because that's what you see the burly detective or corrupt politician reaching for from their liquor cabinet.

As winemaker i can say world is big and different

I'm not much of a drinker myself sad to say. I can do a rum and coke if there isn't any rum involved haha. This is by far the most alluring photo you posted so far! The black and white draws me in almost as much as my breast fixation... almost. Your hair is absolutely gorgeous too by the way. Have a great day!

With how many types and brands of alcohol there are out there, and me not being an "experienced" drinker, trying to branch out and taste other stuff feels like a hopeless thing. I'm just content with my wimpy Angry Orchard that 1. has a flavor/taste I can stomach, 2. relaxes me, and most importantly 3. is easily available and sold at the 24/7 gas station.

How long do you plan on staying in Spain if you're a little homesick?

All this talk of booze and a rather enticing view of you has me more excited than I should be on a Tuesday

wackymondo

You should write reviews for drinks!
