Medieval-Rustic-Old Timey-OffTheGrid

1. Which of my mods will benefit from a  Medieval or Rustic add on ?

2. What mediaval/rustic gameplay object would you like to see ? Crafting, consumables etc

Comments

So maybe an interaction with a bush where you'd select "Go Hunting" or "Go Hunting For..." the sims would step into the bush, it'd rustle around for awhile and eventually they come back with meat from the forest. Maybe a couple buffs like "Successful Hunt" or "Failed Hunting" or "Prey Evaded" something kind of rustic though.

Xia Murphy

I would love to see old medicinal meds for usage or to make, archery maybe lol, and definitely food with game meat like the above comment along with boar too and Oh!, maybe even a sword or weapon craft table?

Chanel Snowden

I would like to see some recipes with wild game meat, like venison or quail. I know those types of meats are still eaten today but it was more common before our modern day. Mead recipes would also be really cool, too!

MizzBellaKitty

I'm just here to say I love historical gameplay and I love all of these ideas! Nectar-making would be amazing. Maybe more breads too

Sara Freed

Cauldron recipes definitely! Or more woodworking items- or maybe food with the firepit/grill?

Kae R

I love them all - possibly look at processes that are different today. On FB I've been watching a series about the way things used to be maufactured, it's really amazing.

Barbara Moore

The nectar maker would be perfect for that and the candles maker too.

Boum

Oh more cauldron recipes sounds great! What about turkey leg? Like they eat at the Renn Festival, and sausage on a stick. Sorry went off track a bit! lol

Robyn

Oooh... I have been yearning for a soup making pot, or cauldron. And a grill for whole pigs/geese and such. Also, the industrial makers (brewing, candle, wine, ect ect - any and all in rustic would be awesome.

ingeli

How about stews and soups that can be made in the Cauldron from Realm of Magic or a wood fire oven with breads, pies, and tarts or even a roasting spit like the one from Sims Medieval

BRG

I love the idea of the fireplace with a huge cast iron pot in it, but I'm unsure if the current fireplaces could be re-skinned and re-animated to look like we're cooking in the fireplace. It'd be super-cool if icemunmun could figure it out though! I'd love to see that.

Nicole Andrew

This would be great if we could make this off-the-grid and it also could align with a medieval theme because it would be akin to making wine or ale in a cask. Maybe even add some ale recipes that could make on the same station using pre-existing CC grain ingredients.

Nicole Andrew

I think this is a great idea and then you would just have to order the haunch from or pick it up at the grocery store. Definitely gives me "Sims Medieval" vibes.

Nicole Andrew

Soapmaking would suit the theme well, I think. Though it would be less of an addon and more of an alternate version, since there was no m+p soap at the time (just as an example). As for new items, a spinning wheel to turn Cottage Living wool or harvestable plant fiber into yarn for knitting or thread for cross-stitch would be really cool.

Libby Swift

a pig and cow roaster is something I would like in my game

Puking king

Im currently engaged in a medieval ultimate challenge and it would be awesome to include more of your content beyond using the bbq pit. So ANYTHING you make would be amazing!! How about some thali plates? πŸ™πŸ½

NanaputOner

I was thinking - since in medieval times the milk from a cow was precious but spoled easily the fresh milk was mostly given to children and the sick - might it be possible to let the milk from the cow give a boost to health?

Ardled

Your canning station would work well with medieval themes. A way to preserve food items like it was done in medieval times - with salt and drying. Wine and Beer making. You might want to look up the Ultimate Decades Challenge to get some inspiration - and there are informations on medieval food and harvestables. Some examples: https://www.bl.uk/the-middle-ages/articles/the-medieval-diet - https://www.exploring-castles.com/castle_life/medieval_food_drink/ - https://www.medievalchronicles.com/medieval-food/medieval-banquets/ - https://www.medieval-recipes.com/medieval-garden/herbs/ - https://www.medievalchronicles.com/medieval-food/ - https://www.britannica.com/topic/agriculture/Agricultural-recession - https://www.historyonthenet.com/medieval-farming-the-farming-year - Weaving Baskets - Producing Salt (through letting sea water dry off) - Producing meals with food gained from hunting, fishing and foraging with animals and produces present at that time ... ✨

Ardled

I would love a fireplace cooking like shown in sims medieval, larder, mead/wine maker, medieval beehive, yarn spinning wheel. Some syncing with Littlbowbub medieval items would be nice too.

Tyler Watkins

There are these made by other creators I am not sure how much time anyone wants to spend remaking things.

Lady D

Would love the distillery to have a medieval option whenever that's available. More brewing is always great!

phantomness

Oh I second this!

Melissa Waligorski

here are the downloads - https://icemunmun.in/category/canning/

MunMun

The nectar making station would be amazing. I'm doing an ultimate decades challenge, and it would be great if it was off-the-grid.

Temesha Hostetler

make our own candle holders for the candle making station from eco living

One Step Homestead

Oh I didn't know that thank you! I'll have to make sure I download that

MICHELLE IMPEY

She already has made the jam station. It's called the called the canning station if you haven't seen it yet

BRG

The soup maker, more of your foods and drinks. I can't for the life of me figure out why you can't cook all foods on the upgraded stove. I love LBB Ye Olde Cooking but I would love more food and drinks for my medieval sims

Lady D

Maybe a jam station? Like instead of clicking on the oven you could have a jam table like the object from Sims 3? Or even a windmill that could be used for both wheat as well as generating wind power? I don't mod so I don't know how complex this would be but it could be cool

MICHELLE IMPEY

I just got the Sims Medieval and would love a Larder, Stone Oven and or a Fireplace pot. I am sure whatever you make it will be epic!
