Whenever he gets bored or upset at another player he just ignores everyone and skips his turn until everyone realizes he’s not happy. We usually just keep playing and wait till he changes his mind, since we’re roommates and he can’t just go home.

Railroading is one thing but it's super rude to the DM for a player to actively not engage with content they've spent all week preparing if they have a good reason to do so, and instead try and force the dm to make new stuff up for you with no good reason.

I apply the poison to weapons but I also never unintentionally touch things. Additionally, grung already have to submerge in water once a day which is difficult enough without accidentally insta-killing horses!

(In my defense I did not know initially that my actions were going to lead me to the tiger but once my Circle of the Shepherd druid figures out there's a caged animal in her vicinity, what's she gonna do? NOT make friends with it?)

There was a decade long history of similar behavior in our friendship. I never received an apology, he didn't answer my calls and have not personally talked to him since. I have heard that he is safe and doing much better, which is good to know for sure. Emily, how you imagined the combat going was spot on. It was wild, I entered a fugue state and just powered through. Objectively funny although no one was laughing. It was not the move for sure, but reacting properly to curve balls is a skill that comes with experience I hope. RIP Poor Tortle

I have suffered many bites and claws but they are no problem for a barbarian. He occasionally still bites me but it was worth it to roll up on Castle Ravenloft with what essentially became a tiger war mount. (Also a colossal treant blight but that's another story)

For some clarification, there was an interesting red glow for them to investigate that was ignored (portal to hell) and the statue was described as a plain statue, with their incessant insight and investigation checks revealing the beautiful detail of the stonework and the fact that one side saw more sun than the other. I wanted to kill someone but I didn't want to punish the only player trying to fight the giant hell spider, so unfortunately they all lived. I will however be taking on board all suggestions of a returning statue and laser beams for the future!

Their carrying capacity is 15 x srength score x 2, so even if they had a strenght score of 14-18 or so, they would have a capacity of 420-540lbs. So all of their party AND all of their party's gear would have to weigh less than that for it to work RAW, which seems unlikely. But its also dope, so I'd definitely allow it, give them their moment, and just chuck a fireball at them.
