Emily was technically right about the Jesus thing! The book of Luke was basically a love letter to the Roman's. In that version, Jesus is happy and rejoicing, so it's not really 'their fault'. The other versions have him begging... himself... to not let it happen.

As a bible educated Christian I was absolutely rolling at Brian’s outrage over Emily saying Jesus was happy to die 😂 The man sweat tears of blood (extreme stress response) and asked God if there was any other way! He was willing but definitely not happy.

As someone who did a full degree on the historicty and formation of the Bible it was so incredibly funny to hear Murphy be so right but not able to prove that what Emily was postulating wasn't correct literally or theologically. Also, it's typically accepted that Barabas probably killed people and that's why he was supposed to be crucified (the more you know). Anyway hilarious short rest, I loved it.

Retrieval Team 22 are not necessarily honorable, but definitely redeemable.

Rangers end up being some of the most potent damage dealers in the game.
Hunters Mark - Cast this every time you go into battle, when you kill something it bounces to the next enemy so you're always dealing an extra d6
Zepher Strike - extra 1d8 damage on every attack, it gives you advantage on an attack and you can zip arround the battlefield like a character from Dragon Ball Z
Sharpshooter - Basically the same as Great Weapon Fighter. Like Fighters, Rangers have a higher base attack bonuse so they're more likely to hit which means the -5 to hit for the extra +10 damage is totaly worth it. Especially if you have advantage from Zepher Strike.
Also not sure what type of Ranger Nyack is but the Colosus Slayer basically just gets an extra d8 of damage on every attack.

I imagine you're editing it out but- Jake, if you're not casting Hunter's Mark, that will reliably increase your damage! Also if you don't want to go full UA ranger, there are also some UA alternate class features that might make Ranger more exciting (including replacing the less-than-stellar "you can't see me if I'm not moving" ability ) https://media.wizards.com/2019/dnd/downloads/UA-ClassFeatures.pdf

I think what Murph said about Ranger being not-great on a narrative podcast compounds for UA Ranger, unfortunately- it's v cool but also v fiddly

Not much talking about the episode, and I loved it. So enjoyable to listen to some comedians just being good friends. Thanks for sharing your laughs with us!

Murph, you are talking about hordebreaker.
Jake, there is a ranged feat that works like Great Weapon Fighter with the -5/+10 thing that you used with Hardwon. It's called Sharpshooter, and its just as busted as GWF.

If Jake really has volley, he could potentially be making attacks on like, 16 enemies at per turn, depending on how they're clustered.
That would require duncle to throw that many enemies at team 22 all at once though, so... yikes.

Hi. Linguist here. Fricative consonants are any sound where air is blowing through a tight opening, like f v s z th dh sh zh. An affricate is a combination sound combining a stop followed by a fricative like ch (t+sh) or j (d+zh). The most common French R is a fricative sound from the back of the throat made by making a small gap between back of the tongue and the uvula. Hope you liked this! Keep up the good work!

Jake should maybe look at changing his sheet a little bit to the Revised Ranger. WotC has acknowledged that the original PHB Ranger is really poorly balanced with the other classes and drops in power significantly once you get to the mid levels.
