Yeah, Ellie's prediction at the first con is certainly seeming to come true. Probably not helping Pumpkin's discomfort with herself in general at the moment, either. I am wondering how much her current outfit is a "dressing up for Quinn" sort of thing versus trying to shed some inhibitions with someone who isn't going to be sexualizing her based upon her breast size and seems unlikely to have jealousy issues (the fight story seems like something Pumpkin would've heard from Ellie, especially since recognizing a Buckingham haircut at Thanksgiving would've informed her to a potential interesting story, and likely the resolution part there would've covered the envy things being smoothed over). I'd imagine it's a little of both.

That One Guy

Pumpkin has ... filled out. From the 'little' girl who was worried about a hooch-off, she has physically changed a lot, it seems.

I think it could be 'what feels good/right' option. She's trying to figure herself out, and has expressed some curiosity regarding relationships when she was talking to Quinn, so this could be just her experimenting with innocent, lovey-dovey stuff with someone 'safe'. Quinn, being a straight friend of hers who is probably only one really in the know about her sexuality thing is a good option to cuddle up to and test the waters with. Or she could just be conveniently forgetting that Quinn likes boys and winds up getting herself hurt. It could be that too. But I'm leaning more towards the 'experimenting' option.

They never actually thought that they were a couple, they were just teasing Ellie just for the laughs. Since Pumpkin is well aware that there really wasn't anything between them, so she's in the clear to try to pursue Quinn.

Considering how she put Quinn out there to talk to a boy she knows Quinn likes, I find any romantic intentions a bit odd. Maybe she's just trying to figure out "what feels good/right" though. (Or she could be treating her like one of her sisters. I could see her and Ellie snuggling at a movie.)

So... Here's something that just popped in my head: remember when all the Buckinghams though Ellie and Quinn were an item? How does that play out in Pumpkin's head? Does she think she's stealing Quinn? Or that it was just Ellis who wasn't into it?

Ashliii investigates! Her look in the last panel is a bit hard to read but I think see a bit of the disdain(TM). As cute a couple that Pumpkin and Quinn are I hope Quinn puts some reasonable boundaries in place. She has enough problems without Rosemary gunning for her. And the Sharks in the Faultline dialog is awesome. :)

And like a pumpkin smoothie, the results could be disastrous.
