🖖Star Trek TNG S07E16 Full Length Reaction

The purpose behind the science that teacher taught is that her understanding is based on the knowledge her people have at that level of development of their society. They appear to be wearing clothing that might indicate a time similar to our renaissance era, so her knowledge of things would have been similar to a more ancient time. It sounds crazy to us, but in her society she would’ve been respected as having the latest in scientific knowledge. Just like how bloodletting to cure illnesses was once considered state of the art medicine. As for the name Jayden😄, it doesn’t work for Data but I ended up using that name for my son in the Stardew Valley video game because of this episode.😁

Yup, in order for Deanna to pass, she had to be able to give that impossible order.

I love the later we get into TNG we get how much more the chemistry between Frakes and Marina Sirtis comes across. I really enjoyed the little trombone back and forth in his quarters.

Always love your Trek reactions, Jen! Can't believe you're already down to just ten episodes left of TNG—wild. I had such a good time rewatching this one again. The whole story with Data landing on that alien planet, losing his memory, them calling him Jaden (which cracked me up since that name pops up in both Power Rangers and Stargate, two of my other favorite franchises), and accidentally making the pre-warp/Renaissance villagers sick with radiation poisoning—basically their version of Kryptonite. Lol. Then at the same time you've got Troi finally going through the bridge officer test to earn her Commander rank, which is basically her own Kobayashi Maru moment. Lol. Loved seeing both arcs play out side by side. 😊
