IMAX for Dead Reckoning: If any of you are thinking about seeing this in IMAX, better get tickets ASAP. It will be available in IMAX for 1 week because Oppenheimer will take over the following week.

I'd love to see it on the big screen but I'll save it for a reaction!

My favorite part of this movie? It was your struggle between handsome and evil. 😄

So my question to you Jen is this; now that you’ve seen all MI movies on here, will be seeing the new Mission Impossible movie that comes out next month on the Big Screen or just wait until it comes out on blu ray and just react to it on here??

Joe M

Well, this was good timing , the Missions Impossible are leaving my country's Netflix at the end of the month. On that geographical point, the medical camp and helicopter chase were filmed in my country, New Zealand, down in Fjordland. However, the clifftop fight between Tom and Henry was shot in Norway. Fallout was the 2nd movie to bring Tom to NZ for filming, the 1st being The Last Samurai in 2002 where various scenes were shot around the Taranaki region, with Mt Taranaki doing some stand-in work for Mt Fuji.

Thanks for getting this one out so fast Jen! Tom REALLY put himself through it in this one - a legit HALO jump, piloting a helicopter over dangerous terrain, insane hand to hand combat...it's got it all!

Oh and by the way during the scene when Tom is jumping from the one building to the other he actually broke his foot, this is why he’s limping after he pulls himself up. Dude was in immense pain but kept on going.

Henry Cavill did such an amazing job as a villain. I really wish they had not killed him off. I also hope to see him play more villains in the future, because I think he does that even better than he plays the hero.

I wish I also watched this in theaters, for me the whole movie was non stop action but I mean Jen you can only do so much by just getting mad at your crush actor 😂 I left a link on discord if you want to see how Tom did the helicopter chase scene.

As far as I know, it was Tom Cruise doing the sky diving. Tom Cruse also did the building jump, and broke his ankle when he hit, but still pulled himself up and ran off camera, you can see him limp a little in the scene. He also did the motorcycle scene, but a lot of the obstacles were put in post using CGI.

The skydiving scene was most, if not all, Tom... he had to jump out of the plane just after the camera man, and then had to fly down to match the camera man's speed while trying to stay in frame, and then slow down in just the right spot so his face was in focus... it was very difficult, and it took many takes, and Tom never complained once. These days, the way they film chases like the motorcycle through Paris is they shoot the motorcycle driving the planned route, reacting as though there are cars around them, then they use VFX to add the cars afterwards. For me, the worst thing about the whole film is that they wrecked a really nice old BMW 5-series for the chase where Ethan is trying to escape with Lane. I just checked and Vanessa Kirby, who played the White Widow, is also in the new film, Dead Reckoning and I'm pretty sure the rest of the team is returning as well.
