WOW. The last 10 minutes of this ep are actually breathtaking! I can't imagine the logistics of a scene like that in one shot and it really blew my friggin mind! Lots of good stuff in this episode but that climactic scene stole the show.

Quite the episode for an Aussie. That amazing sequence (and the rest of the series) was shot by Adam Arkapaw, an Aussie cinematographer, and then Nick Cave kicking in at the end. Brilliant.

Normally you'll film a couple of "bridging" shots in case the "oner" doesn't work and you need to stitch it together - but the crew said they were lucky enough to get it all in the single take without needing the bridge. Just pure professionals. The part where the camera follows them over the fence was just mindblowing at the time (and is still an incredible feat). The quote about hitting the ceiling sort of applies to this show as well. Each time it you think it's peaked, it goes further. We're just feeling the fringe of the avalanche now!
