Great Scott I had fun watching this! Doc and Marty are back and mixed up in more time travel shenanigans than in the original! The opinions seem mixed on this one but I personally thought it was a lot of fun!
Shoutout to Jennifer who was unconscious for the majority of the movie, which I found hilarious.

Has anybody noticed the musical cues during the scenes where Future Marty gets fired and Old Biff steals the DeLorean? Certain elements of the soundtrack—especially the piano—sound an awful lot like some of the music in Star Trek TOS.

2022-02-19 19:51:50 +0000 UTCThis one is probably my least favourite now, when rating it as a whole. But what's fun, I remember not feeling that way as a kid. It's obviously the one that time as not been as favourable to. But it's clearly meant to be over the top tongue and check fun. So at the same time that critique isn't really relevant. I do love the aspects of diverging time lines. The gags of paradoxes destroying the space time continuum. 1955 playing some sort of critical nexus point for all time and space, or is it just a hapless coincidence. An irreverent approach to dealing with time travel is the only way it works in my book. The 'rules' have to be as fluid as possible, or you tie yourself in knots and end up having a lot less fun with it. Back to the future has become one of those cultural references within science fiction, when dealing with time travel in movies and in television. Mostly likely I'll watch part 3 next week. Great fun as always.
