Update to the Computer Build and Delay
Added 2020-11-25 19:01:27 +0000 UTCI wanted to give everyone an update where I am with this. I'm going crazy trying to finally get this done and while I think and hope I'm getting close to the end I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to be able to make a video out of it at this point.
UPDATE:
The new motherboard did come in yesterday. It didn't solve the problem. But I was advised to increase the voltage on the CPU and that finally changed something with it making it seem more stable.
As of now I've done a lot more testing with settings and it's definitely a faulty CPU. It won't work at stock speeds at stock voltages out of the box. (for those who may not have overclocked before, when you make a processor run faster you usually have to increase the voltage so it has more power to work with. This makes it more stable at the cost of generating more heat.) I have found that the CPU only works at 1.25V with a lot of "Load Line Calibration". Any less voltage and linux crashes on trying to boot. Any more and stress tests crash it which means it's pushed to far.
I'm not even sure it's stable at 1.25V and I shouldn't have to overvolt the chip to just make it work. So I'm going to have to RMA it and get a replacement from Intel. It sucks I'm going to have to wait for that, but at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel now.

He got it as a gift and it could have been an open box that someone damaged before returning. Or hell it could have been damaged because of that faulty MB. Or just our man here got lucky with a faulty silicon. All I am trying to say is that, yeah Intel suck and their pricing makes zero sense but this case could be plethora of things that would have not been Intel fault. And I am saying that as someone who moved to AMD after my skylake just casually started to fail reading my RAM.

2020-11-27 13:00:01 +0000 UTCI don't know if it is too late. But if you want, you can take photos of the unboxing and installation of the new motherboard. That way you don't have to teardown. And just refer to the images. As you said, it is already took too much time and more importantly you want to move on to something new. And this way you can showcase what happened while not spending more time than needed. And like everyone has said thus far, we really appreciate the quality that you are known for. And for us it is worth the wait. I just hope that we get to see smiling and relaxed soon.
