Collapse - WIP Week 3
Added 2020-09-17 17:33:33 +0000 UTCYesterday was the 3rd session on the September song. The main focus was FX, supporting elements, and fleshing out the verse parts. The song is really coming along and with 2 more sessions left, we're on track to finish up a really great song!
A couple notes from the stream:
- Most sections of the song are put together now, but I need to give the same treatment to the breaks, builds, and the bridge. Just some extra elements to balance out the pacing of the song.
- Some of the sections of the song generally feel a bit abrupt, but that will be cleaned up in the final stages.
- The drop sounds pretty full but I need to make some adjustments with fills, fx, and a few more bass parts.
Next week, the focus will be on percussion. The stuff we have in here now is placeholder and mostly loops. The feel is close, but I need something that matches everything else I've created. After that, it'll be final FX and last bits of sound design and that'll be it!
Download is up for ANimals and up! I'm heading to the mountains this weekend so there's no DJ stream this week, but I'll see you next Wednesday for the week 4 stream!
