2024-10-28 20:45:51 +0000 UTCIn the conversation with Commander Theo Magath and Willie Tybur it is hinted that Marley is actually being run by the Tybur family behind the scenes. The Tybur family are the Eldian noble family that sided against King Fritz during the Titan Wars which was more like a civil war. So the Tybur noble family helped Marley to drive out the king to Paradis. Because of that act the Tybur family, despite being Eldians, are not only respected by Marley but also by every other nation around the world as the "Good Eldians" that helped humanity free itself from the "devil Eldians" that fled to Paradis. Willie wants Theo to help him reveal that truth but with the purpose of naming Paradis as a threat to the world. In this way he hopes that Eldians on the mainland will be viewed as heroes if they help to eliminate the Eldians in Paradis. Furthermore this will be done by getting rid of the military leadership of Marley and reforming the government, aka the rotted out house with a rat infestation. P.S. Eren talked to his grandfather. And yes he also knew it was his grandfather because he has his dad's memories.

2024-07-27 08:54:52 +0000 UTCOh yeah also it's been said already but Eren missing a leg is possible because we saw Reiner purposely delay his own healing until he revealed himself, and we also saw Annie prioritize healing one eye as a Titan. Therefore we can deduce that Titan Shifters can control and stop their own healing at will. But most of the time they do let themselves heal, and you're right that it's usually automatic. So Eren having a missing leg serves as a great piece of his disguise since most people wouldn't suspect a person with a missing limb to be a Titan.

Red armbands are only worn by Warriors and their immediate family, signifying their status as honorary Marleyans. Yellow armbands are worn by Warrior Candidates. Every other Eldian wears Grey armbands. Despite their nominal status, Warriors and their families are still kept inside internment zones like Liberio. The man sits next to Eren and tells him to stop asking Falco to do favors for him. He explains that the Grice family was put in jeopardy when Falco's uncle was discovered to be a leader of the Eldian Restorationists. This uncle was the man we saw kicked off the wall next to Grisha without being turned into a titan. All the other Restorationists were turned into titans, but he was allowed to run first so the titans would chase him. The man tells Eren that Colt and Falco trained to become Warriors to prove their loyalty to Marley, and now that Colt has been chosen to succeed Zeke, their family can finally relax somewhat. The man tells Eren that he is putting them in danger if Eren keeps manipulating Falco to do suspicious things for him. Eren asks the man about his family and regrets, which triggers the man, Grisha's father/Eren's grandfather, into remembering the brutal killing of his daughter Faye. We now know why his armband is red, because he is Zeke's grandfather. The rest of the scenes are pretty straightforward but hopefully my explanations help clarify things :)

Next thing that may be confusing is Magath once again meeting with Willy, this time next to the stage he's having built for the festival play. They are speaking in some kind of hidden meanings, that we aren't supposed to fully understand yet. Willy laments the responsibility that has been passed down to him as the head of the family.

We know that the Tybur family pass down the Warhammer Titan, which therefore means they must be Eldians, Subjects of Ymir just like our main cast and the Warriors we are getting to know now. It is not clear which member of the family currently holds the Titan. Willy talks with Magath, and Magath correctly deduces that the Tyburs are the true rulers of Marley. Willy acknowledges this and says he wants Magath's help with a plan he has.

2024-07-27 03:54:23 +0000 UTCI'll try to provide a synopsis, using no spoilers beyond the end of this episode. Eren (who Falco knows as Kruger) asks Falco to deliver letters for him. Falco and his family and other Eldians live in the Liberio Internment Zone, a walled off ghetto in a Marleyan city. This is the same zone Grisha grew up in. We saw that Grisha needed passes to leave the zone. The same policy is in place today, but Warriors and Warrior Candidates are allowed outside the Zone. Therefore Eren needs Falco to go put these letters in the mail, as it seems Eldians in the Zone do not have access to the mail system
