Season 4 and Gen V are cool, for me at least hahahaha. First seasons were so dope, this one is more "calm" but that doesnt mean its bad, im sure final season is going to be a grand finale. The thing about the spin off series... well... there i see a clear case of "milking the cow" if you know what i mean xD

2024-07-21 07:55:54 +0000 UTCI'm kind of hesitant to start this season. I loved the first three, but I honestly think that it may have run its course. I think 3 should have ended with Homelander dying. I get keeping him around. Antony Starr is a major draw to the show and he's fantastic. But I think having Homelander die, in front of Ryan, would have been a better character moment for everyone involved. I think it would force the characters and audience to reckon with the fact that, at the end of the day, Butcher hated Homelander more than he ever loved Becca--and that should be what turns Ryan against him; the idea that Butcher was responsible for killing both his parents. That, and the fact that there's a whole spinoff show. I'm just afraid that The Boys may have turned into what it was ostensibly meant to be a critique of. Is it still worth it? I haven't seen Gen V, or any of season 4. I want them to be good, but I'm afraid they won't be.
