When Breaking Bad is good, it's REALLY good. Whenever it's bad, it's either not interesting or makes you upset. So overall, I would recommend Breaking Bad for you to watch. From what I have heard about The Wire and The Sopranos, it might be a mix of those two shows...but I can't really say that with confidence seeing as I have not seen either of those other shows. Just that they (Breaking Bad, Sopranos, The Wire) all deal with criminals, only The Sopranos deals with the deep family connection in regard to crime. Even the prequel that was made years after the original is kind of good if you like mystery/comedy video games like Ace Attorney--since the prequel of Breaking Bad focuses on a lawyer and his life inside an attorney office (plus his normal life) as the main character. A k-drama that would be (sort of) like Breaking Bad would be The Glory (the premise is not, but certain things reminded me of BB, not the whole drama). Maybe the intrigue of the series overall. My Name, too, in small parts of the story, again not the premise. The intensity in those two k-dramas just took me back to watching Breaking Bad and being on the edge of my seat in amazement, I could not wait to watch the next episode, etc.

2024-11-14 13:35:08 +0000 UTClol that's literally me with some western shows/movies, such as The Wire, The Sopranos and Lord of the Rings! those three examples have been shows/movies that's been hyped up for many years but I only got around to watching them between the past year to now and I ended up loving all three. I just don't really get fomo in general and I watch certain shows/movies when I'm in the right mood and it helps me enjoy them more compared to if I forced myself! Speaking of Breaking Bad, that's a show on my to watch list I haven't gotten around to yet but I'm very curious about it!

People would look into my eyes and see absolutely no signs of any life behind them, and if they were quiet enough, they'd probably hear my two braincells huddling together for warmth. No but all jokes aside, I would genuinely not be there mentally. I'd probably check out the moment people started dropping in that first game.

I think hiding and ignoring guilt is a thing. Then facing it later. I believe that’s what Sangwoo is doing in this case- not allowing himself to feel it right now. I really was rooting for girlie to win 😭

2024-11-10 02:03:07 +0000 UTCWhen I first watched Squid Game I jumped to Alice In Borderland after I got finished and that is actually a perfect transition cause they have similarities but in my opinion Alice In Borderland is better cause it really testes your brain more as a watcher. I think you will love it if you ever watch it.

It reflects the difference between Korean and Japanese shows. The Korean people are really struggling under capitalist exploitation and political oppression. I feel like it's impossible for them to write any story without an underlying anti-capitalist sentiment. Things are getting crazy out there.

So we had to wait a long time for this but the wait from S3 will be much shorter and I'm so excited to see where the story goes👀

(it took a long time to make lol) kdramas usually dont have second seasons, but watching western shows were shows (if they dont get cancelled) get 3-4 seasons or more, season 2s are mostly always my faves. i feel even more connected to the characters then. tho its not gonna happen in this drama, since all characters except the lead is dead lol

I listened to rap/hip hop/r&b for several years and then literally moved to Kpop (which is a mix of those and other elements). It's strange how that happened. ALSO your comment about missing the hype whenever a show happened: literally me with both Squid Game and Breaking Bad (American crime drama). The gap between the premiere/hype with Breaking Bad was even more years than I had with Squid Game for whenever I actually watched it.
