“more like a slab of iron” Berserk

A piece I’m doing for a local art show put together by a tattoo parlor and comics shop. Called “Heroes and Villains”, they asked artists to draw their favorite hero or villain from comics. I immediately chose Guts from Berserk, as it was the one year anniversary of Kentaro Miura’s passing when I was asked.

Focusing on Guts' enormous sword, the final piece, when framed, will poke out of the top a little with some extra work on the glass to make it look like it broke out, as you can see in the last image containing my sketch of the concept.

I’ll post it again when it’s fully framed and hanging. Just today cut the pieces out and pasted them together.

edit: colored with copic marker, btw. then cut out and pasted on whatever particle board the frame had in it.
