Happy Birthday A. Corvin! [Public]

In honor of our dollop of sunshine’s birthday, I gathered some insights about them.💛

Book Two provides multiple opportunities for you to interact with and get to know the youngest Corvin, building on your dynamic from the first book! I can't wait for you all to learn more about them throughout the series. Their bond with J is very 'ride or die', coloring their view of your Returning Visitor depending on how you're treating their sibling. Happy birthday, A! 🥰🫂

Flashback: I answered a question about the MC and B tag-teaming the Corvin siblings in romance. The asker sent me this as a prompt: "*MC pats B on the back* If you marry A and I get married to J  that'll make us like, bestie-spouse-sibling-in-laws or whatever its called!". I typed up a snippet where this line comes from:

"Yeah, but it'd be cute," you reply with a mischievous smile. "What are your thoughts on Worvin versus Carrick? J seems to favor the latter."

Now, you'll find the continuation of this in Book Two! 😉 It's this choice option with varying scenes according to your relationship dynamics.

"Jay!"

 A's call is accompanied by something clattering, possibly tools, but J heard.

"You'll give them a heart attack," you complain. "Or at least a headache."

"Between the two of us, you're much better at giving them heart trouble," A points out, their grin vanishing without a trace while they look you over for a tense second. Your typical banter of traded words has turned serious. "Remember that."

🌲TFS: Book Two Teaser: An Unlikely Friendship ☕ 🌲

The Waiter and Alina

"It's latte art! Wanna help me? You're way better at this stuff, please? It could be a demo."

"Alina, I have—"

"You can show me the wrist flick technique and how to do the drip. I've been reading up on it, but I'd learn more from you—it'll be fun."

Alina's slight dimples paired with her doe, green eyes would topple most people, if not crumble them, but Mal withstands both. He checks a nearby clock and then nods his acceptance rather than caving. Their close friendship may be why this worked at all. "Only one design."

"One and done," Alina happily agrees. "Unless you want to make more sometime."

Mal trades a quick look with you where you shrug once to show it's up to him. He carefully steps around you, lingering just long enough to make you wonder if you wish he'd stayed longer. Soon, Mal is behind the counter, greeted by Alina's fanfare about agreeing to help her out.

Will A ever be a member of the gang?

 They would have a better chance of it compared to Mal given Mal's disposition, but then we have J's protectiveness, especially after what they've learned about Fernweh. 🛡️This line comes up in Book Two (random genders); it references that search effort scene in the first book:

James shielded his his sister from any danger at the cost of excluding her.

It was hard to witness back then.

Is A vegan? I feel like they might be. 

 *re-reads a line where I have A gesturing with a meatball-capped fork when getting fired up on J's behalf* Hmm, not necessarily. 🤔 They love animals and regularly volunteer at an animal shelter, etc. Aside from Mrs. Corvin's lasagna and award-wining razzleberry cobbler that have story mentions, any food is intentionally kept relatively vague, accounting for the MC's taste and preference to let you all have your freedom/needs. They do make pasta (tortellini) for you in Book Two during the Corvin family dinner.

"At least there are no smudges this time."

Alina critically muttered that more to herself than to you while bending down to peer through the display case's crystal clear glass. It's buffed to a sheen, reminding you of the Corvins' level of tidiness. While Charles didn't leave behind any fingerprints, his time here relates to Alina's new, sour mood.

"But it could've been worse," she optimistically continue, snatching up another cup for a future latte. "I could have had to talk to him, which would've been a sacrifice—my patience, time, and brain cells… Anyway, moving on."
