Valshiira - Quick Paint
Added 2020-08-13 00:10:20 +0000 UTCJust a quick update this time around. I'm doing a bit of practice colour again after a while away from it. I wanted to do a kind of 'sketchy' attempt at it akin to concept art and figured I'd do so with Valshiira, a Tribal Lorrnathi from the north-mountain region of their home.
Not much more complicated than that. I might post some more of these quick colour sketches in the near future as well.

In both cultures it's usually just a way to add 'accents'. Little pieces of individuality that sometimes bubble over to pride. They don't suffer through the same shame cycles we're used to in modern society, so are a fair bit more expressive in that way. :)

2020-08-13 19:37:30 +0000 UTCVery kind of you :) Its something I'm trying to get better at. Doing more freestyle/loose/rough sketching, even with colours. One of the big benefits is that I can actually share art quicker without the need to do a 'clean up' pass that I usually do. I'm hoping to keep this going with some more colour studies I'll be doing :)

2020-08-13 19:33:27 +0000 UTCBoth Lorrnathi and Javarran seem to love emphasizing their sexual features with body paint, probably without realizing the effect it might have on humans or other creatures who are less accustomed to nudity.

It's not that I have any objection to your full-on paintings, mind you...but the sketches are really beautiful, too. For what one patron voice is worth, I absolutely love 'em, and I light up when I see a new one in my inbox.
