Its been a rough start trying to stay creative. The 'hide in the house' days are definitely starting to weigh more and more on the depression, and trying to do anything creative in that fog has been enormously difficult.
While this is the second try at this image, it was one of those 'don't overthink it' kind of images that I needed to try. I tried to keep things loose and not overdo details. I did rummage through about thirty refs on interesting outfits before opting to just go with a simpler look.
Drawing small humanoids is surprisingly difficult I'm finding. They either end up looking like bobble-headed children, or absurdly spindly-legged caricatures of a person (ahem, see the 5e D&D halfling). Its also hard to depict them without a tall person behind them, or rocks or trees or a house-cat. But in general I wanted to see if I could do the character justice. I still don't know if I have.
I'll be drawing her companions at some point as well. The big Lorrnath guy, and the equally as small Khettu (fox) fighter.
And I realize I spelled her name incorrectly in the image itself. I'm going to pretend its artistic imperfection that was done on purpose.
More mad scribblings to come.
