Ruined Places
Added 2018-06-13 20:52:29 +0000 UTCA week ago I got around to doing more 'zen' work on maps. I think this was supposed to be a ruined library or reliquary or something with a courtyard and inn/pub attached to it for a game long gone and buried.
I do know its in the snowy parts around or in Blackpine though. More 'dead places' mapping I think. Of the few maps I was poking away at, this one is the closes to done that any of them will get. I think I had planned a colour version of this as well, which mostly would have been white and grey anyway given its in the snow :D
Still noodling away at the painting when I can. Life and other job are eating into that time deeply now and then (especially over the weekend) but progress was made on getting some of the flats filled in for it.

It was once a hub for the students attending the Arcantower and Auld Andormira academies. It boasted marle stonework, bright columns, grand statues to the saints and the patrons of the art of weaving spells from the blood of the world. It also boasted a large array of books, maps, scrolls and texts of the ancient world, now all lost, buried beneath the seasons, rubble, and trodden upon by vessels carrying out the shards of the life they once remembered. I admit I'd love to do a stack of maps and give them out, but they often take a great deal of time for me to obsessively ink and detail out in this fashion. But I'll gladly post them here for anyone to use, and there may be times that I can post numbered maps with a key. I'm seeing how much I can get done while not sacrificing any spare time that I set aside for art as well.

2018-06-19 17:19:00 +0000 UTCSo much room. So much ruin! Bet it was very nice at one point. Glad you're doing what you need to, to stay sane. You're always great with the detail. Would be cool if you could sell these as official maps for quests.
