A bit late getting some of these sketches out this month, but at least there are wolves! Pantsless ones..
Well, admittedly the Khavijas (tribal wolves) tend to wear little until the winter and much colder seasons. I wanted to depict a sort of autumn walk featuring a young chieftain and his made returning from a fishing trip. She's having a giggle at some of the events on the trip.
I've been trying out the pencil brushes from Frenden again and I'm really, really starting to fall for them. The brushes mimic natural pencils frighteningly well, right down to the grain change from light to dark. Plus I miss the more grainy greyscale of using pencils (Currently I'm without a scanner, thus can't draw things out on natural media, so this is the next best thing.)
There is another sketch in the works featuring a wolf (last month' s sketch winner actually!) that I'm hoping to show as well.
This picture will be cleaned up and finished off as time goes on. its the start of a sort of 'Wolves of Autumn' theme I'm thinking of following around the various tribes of Khavijas people in Felwroth. They're a bit of a mix of several cultures and some 'fantasy' as well, and I've missed drawing wolves. Not that I won't be drawing some Cinders Pumpkin Shenanigans as well, but for now there will be more lupine things in the autumn.
