PG 248/249 WIPs
Added 2022-11-25 18:00:06 +0000 UTCI don’t actually have a thumbnail for page 248— when a page has a lot of dialogue, I will usually structure the panel layout around the flow of the text. I layout out the text first, then fit in some initial margin sketches/gesture drawings around it, then go from there. It doesn’t really ‘show the work’ quite as well as a nice, cohesive thumbnail, but it gets the job done.
Here’s thumbnail for PG 249 and a couple margin sketches I did to get a handle on the scene. Once I have a starting point on paper, it’s easier to ‘rotate’ the pose or scene in my mind, and imagine a new angle.
