Arrow 7X1: Inmate 4587

Holy fuck, you guys. I am going to watch this episode for the rest of my life just so I can admire pink haired, pierced Felicity. I'm obsessed. If I were a WLW, I'd be all over this.

Okay, so it seems like Oliver is trying to be on his best behavior so he can tried to get released early, but I'm pretty sure he got a life sentence, so I'm not sure how that works. But, it's been several months of him being in jail now, and he's just trying to get through one day to the next, keeping his head down and staying out of trouble.

Of course, that is easier said than done since some of the people in this jail are hear because the Green Arrow got to them and they don't want Oliver's stay to be easy. Plus, there's a tiny little guy who is in there for a murder which he claims he didn't commit and all he wants is Oliver to protect him. But Oliver refuses. Even when he watches that kid get beaten to a pulp.

Meanwhile, Felicity (in her awesome new look) and William are hanging out in witness protection. Felicity is working as a barista (aren't they supposed to put you somewhere that uses your actual talents when you go into witpro?) and bored out of her mind. But trying to keep her spirits up.

Not too long after we see her, Diaz manages to find her, break into her apartment and attack her. She manages to get William out, and then has a pretty good fight with Diaz. I'm proud of her. She really held her own. This fight is interspersed with one of Oliver in jail. Some of Diaz's guys attack him in the show, and with the last blow tell him that Diaz just killed his wife.

Oliver is begging to use a phone so he can check on Felicity, but he isn't allowed phone privileges. Luckily, at that moment he has a visitor. And it's Felicity. She tells him she's put William in a boarding school to keep him safe, and is getting out of Witness Protection. She can't protect herself like this. Oliver is very against this, but she insists and he seems like eventually he's come to terms with it.

Meanwhile, back in Star City, there is a new Green Arrow on the loose. And he seems to be following a very similar playbook that Oliver was using back is seasons one and two. However, we're still very anti-vigilante in Star City, so Dinah plans to arrest him. Rene doesn't want her to, as he saved him earlier, but Dinah is convinced.

The New Green Arrow steals a bunch of money from a gun buy and ends up giving it to local small businesses. Including, the youth center that Rene seems to be running.

Also, it seems like we're getting flash forwards in this season. We see a much older William wandering around Lian Yu looking for something. And what he finds is the Green Arrow. And it's Roy. ROY! Dear god that I do not believe in, please tell me that Roy Harper is the current Green Arrow and that he's back this season.

S7 seems off to a good start if you ask me!
