Elena is putting things together. For me, that video from 1953 would also be the nail in the coffin (no pun intended). And I know this is a fictional universe, but could you imagine? Trying to hold the fact that the guy you're sort of dating is a vampire, but also not believing vampires exist? What a head trip.
Also, the scene where Bonnie lights the car on fire accidentally, makes me want more Bonnie! I also really want her and Stefan to become friends. It really seems like they would make a nice friendship. Him trying to be a good vampire, and her trying not to accidentally use her witch powers on anyone. I would watch that spin off.
So, how does this Vervain work? It's sort of killing Damon, but he also has enough strength to call out to Caroline (Thank you, Heather ❤️) to come and get him out, and also enough strength to zoom over the cell door when she gets there. But Zach has been putting it in his coffee for 17 years and it doesn't seem to effect him. Stefan also doesn't seem that bothered by it. Interesting. And speaking of Zach, Damon kills him literally in an instant. I guess we've learned that you can kill vampires by snapping their necks? (That is what he did, right?)
Damon in on the loose and desperately needs to feed. Since it's finally dark (remember Stefan took his ring) he heads over to the cemetery and feeds off of Vicki. A lot. I have no idea if she's gonna live through this.
Stefan gets home and finds Zach dead. He grabs a stake and immediately sets out to find Damon and, I assume, kill him. But when he opens the door Elena is standing there demanding to know what is he.
Ooh, Logan is still a douchebag. Jenna should have totally left him in the trash where he belonged. He just pretended to like her so he could break into her house and steal the pocket watch. This thing has got to be some kind of vampire locator or something, right? (Don't tell me.)
