In general this was kind of an awkward page to navigate since kind of had to immediately address what was happening but kind of hard to do that with Marie in the room so hey, Emily came up with an excuse! The last panel's actually a callback to two specific things in Misfile proper. The first is a very early page where Ash is in a similar pose, the second a somewhat later page where Ash first wears a pad where the comparison is made. Naturally with him now sporting that particular attire had to circle back around to that, eh?

I j7st wonder if they'll figure this out by a divine intervention of sorts. Last time was a pot smoking Angel that explained things. Wonder who it's be this time?
