Movie Reaction Poll
Added 2021-06-25 00:32:33 +0000 UTCVote on what I should watch and react to next! This Poll will end most likely SUNDAY and I'll choose the TOP 2 to react to next week on Monday and Wednesday!
No worries, I plan on actually prolonging these recommendations so don't trip if you don't see your selection on here first! :)
I'll be doing The Hunt, the actual Danish one for Thursday.

Seven Samurai might have more name recognition

2021-06-30 15:27:13 +0000 UTCBefore Sunrise and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly need to be on subsequent lists!
2021-06-29 03:52:39 +0000 UTCLooks like Ran is destined to end up in a place like The Handmaiden in these polls. Can anyone think of a Kurosawa film that would do better in this community? Maybe Seven Samurai or Yojimbo, but its hard to think of a Kurosawa film with more popular cache the Ran.
Yours truly, Johnny Dollar
2021-06-28 22:18:17 +0000 UTCIve heard Shoplifters is good but i havent seen. Again my votes except for the Good the Bad and the Ugly are getting low votes but such is life. The winners are great choices Pans Labyrinth is expertly done. O Brother Where Art though is not my fav Coens. Would love to see someone react to their Millers Crossing because its an underated gem

2021-06-27 16:08:50 +0000 UTCAnd I think you will love Pan’s Labyrinth. I was deeply obsessed with it for a while. And then you’ll probably want to see Devil’s Backbone - I believe Del Toro thinks of that and PL as kind of a pair, even though the stories aren’t directly connected.

2021-06-26 20:26:17 +0000 UTCFor a sec I thought this said The Sound of Music and I got all excited.

2021-06-26 20:03:03 +0000 UTCIf 27 people have seen that film in one community I think there is something right with the world.

2021-06-26 16:36:25 +0000 UTCGlad to see Ran made it on the list! Now, if only more people had seen this masterpiece and would vote for it.... But it looks like Pan and O Brother are gonna win, two excellent movies so I am looking forward to that.

2021-06-26 15:21:39 +0000 UTCOBWAT is totally worth it. Also, I hate to be that guy, but Ender's Game is a great book and meh movie.

2021-06-26 13:59:20 +0000 UTCRan and Ad Astra for me. Kurosawa vs Shakespeare? Always a must-see. Ad Astra is flawed but it's one of those movies that just pops into your head unbidden.

2021-06-25 20:17:57 +0000 UTCI hope you love Takashi Miikes work whenever it wins one of these polls. He's got some great stuff.

2021-06-25 20:00:14 +0000 UTCYeah but he needs to see the first two movies in the trilogy first! I’ll happily vote to watch fist full of dollars then for a few dollars more then the good the bad and the ugly

2021-06-25 19:22:01 +0000 UTCThey all work as stand alone movies

2021-06-25 19:11:22 +0000 UTCYou have to watch fist full of dollars then for a few dollars more then the good the bad and the ugly. Can’t watch part 3 of the trilogy first!

2021-06-25 18:54:26 +0000 UTCEffing Takashii Miike on this list. James it’s nice to see real directional talent instead of the more popular mainstream sludge. You need to check out his entire filmography: Audition, Ichi the Killer, Visitor Q, there are so many. 13 Assassins is fantastic if you love Japanese Cinema.
2021-06-25 12:45:08 +0000 UTCOh brother….. requires intelligence and a Cohen bothers style movie. Based off “ The Odyssey” I think🤔

2021-06-25 02:45:48 +0000 UTCSHOPLIFTERS TRUST ME!!!
2021-06-25 02:45:21 +0000 UTCI voted for more than one, but a special shout out to Paris Texas. The cinematography is outstanding. You sometimes forget when it was made during some of the scenes because of the timelessness of the movie’s construction. Some good acting. Definitely worth a watch even it isn’t in a watch along.

2021-06-25 02:39:25 +0000 UTCPan's labyrinth, The good, The bad, and the Ugly. One if the best westerns ever! What I love about Pan's labyrinth is that they did use Spanish actors, instead of popular latino actors, it would have been bad to hear them trying to speak Castillian Spanish.
2021-06-25 02:30:26 +0000 UTCRan. Paris, Texas. Climax.

2021-06-25 02:05:35 +0000 UTCSo hard to choose, but: 1 Pan's Labyrinth 2 Ran

2021-06-25 01:28:21 +0000 UTCGreat poll, but Climax is my recommendation and I know he would lose it over the cinematography and some of the crazy stuff that happens in it! (I would also be happy with Paris, Texas winning since it’s one of my all time faves!)
2021-06-25 01:20:19 +0000 UTCThe good the bad and ugly is on another level, plz lets give it some love
2021-06-25 01:04:21 +0000 UTCPans Labyrinth is just one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. So underrated I think. Saw it in 4th grade lmao, probably responsible for my love of horror and monsters now

2021-06-25 01:02:14 +0000 UTCO brother where art thou has never had a decent movie review, or ever had a movie review on YouTube. Also genuinely a great movie by the Coen Brothers
2021-06-25 00:51:10 +0000 UTCIt is not my favorite Kurosawa but it definitely is a great Kurosawa film. I really hope people will back this.
Yours truly, Johnny Dollar
2021-06-25 00:45:24 +0000 UTC"BEST POLL EVER" I love all these films
Matt
2021-06-25 00:44:30 +0000 UTCAd Astra is vastly underrated. Came out in 2019. A space drama starring Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones
2021-06-25 00:40:14 +0000 UTCClimax or Paris, Texas 🙏
2021-06-25 00:37:27 +0000 UTCWe NEED to get Before Sunrise up there. The entire trilogy is just wonderful.

2021-06-25 00:36:01 +0000 UTC👍 13 Assassins. The only foreign language movie I've ever seen at the cinema (I assume we're talking about the modern version?)
