It's funny you said Steve Rogers would never go for that pomp and circumstance cause that's exactly what the government made him do before he saved the soldiers and Bucky in the first Captain America! The marching band was actually playing a version of "Star Spangled Man With A Plan", the song sang when Steve was performing on stage.

Be cool if Star Lord would ever meet John Walker in the MCU, because he could use an inside joke of Star Lord saying “You look like my Dad.” since Kurt Russell played Star Lord’s father, Ego, in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and Wyatt does look a lot like his Dad.
