Callisto v1.00 - Week 1 Update

Some players are getting 'stuck' in a Gideon loop, where they visit the club and are unable to set a new destination, via speaking with Tanya on the bridge. Getting out of this loop is easy enough, as you can just set a new destination, immediately upon return to the ship, using the map interface. If you would rather not use the map interface, by replacing the club.rpyc file in the game folder with the one below, it will change your destination to Pleiades Station upon return from the club.

The next episode will bring the Callisto story to a close. Many of you would have noticed that since v0.80 you have been playing on a time schedule. Apparently the Hive aren't a patient lot. As such, the final episode is a pure branching VN and will not take you back to the free roam portion of the game. All good things must come to an end. With the absence of free roam, the coding / testing for the final release is very straight forward.
Earlier this week, I completed the first draft of the code / script. Following some feedback, this has already been tweaked a little. The episode will include a number of choices, which along with those made previously, will impact on the final options / results in the story. During play testing, I will tweak some of the required thresholds for certain events. Feedback from the Allied Fleet Strength poll will assist in deliberations.


The above is by no means fixed, however should be fairly close. I have allowed some additional time per image, as a number of the items will be technically complex. I want the last episode to be visually spectacular, which will require a little more time.
Work on the next game is very minimal at present, with some work on planning game mechanics and a little messing around with characters. Polls for characters, will likely be done in a couple stages. Firstly between some distinctly different characters and secondly to refine a particular character. There will also be polls related to core game design.
I'm still a few weeks away from creating the first such poll, however I thought I would post a preliminary character alternative for interest. The one below is an out-of-the-box asset, that requires significantly more work. Characters in general will feel more alien than they did in Callisto.
