Callisto - Weekly Update

Callisto v0.70 was made available to $10 and $5 Patreons on Wednesday. Availability to $1 Patreons will be extended tomorrow (~6am Saturday GMT). To date, I have not seen any reported bugs from player testing, so that either means the code is fairly sound or everyone is saving it for the weekend.

I have been spending the past few days trying to flesh out the v0.80 outline. All of the main stories are resolved, however considering what side events should be created to supplement the episode. This mainly involves kicking around ideas with the development team. I have also spent some time, reworking the banner for the game. Whilst it's only 1 image, it can have a huge effect on the support the game receives. Additional support opens up more options of what I can do moving onwards. Whilst typically only $5 and $10 Patreons have voting privileges, I extended this to $1 Patreons for the banner voting. Note that there will be 1 more vote on the banner topic, with the final candidates.

Whilst still on the voting topic, there will be a range of polls, relating to clothing alternatives for a formal event in v0.80. Hence all of the girls will be getting ball / cocktail dresses. Whilst one of the girls will have a specific outfit, that ties in with the story, I'll try to create at least 2 choices for all of the other girls. Have done similar clothing customisation before, hence think some of the alternatives will be interesting.

As far as to the plan over the next couple of week, I need to establish a new set, that will be used for a number of scenes over the next 2 episodes. Following this, I will carry out the detailed scripts / code for v0.80, which will establish the exact image and animation count. In the next version I will be limiting myself to 500 images / 10 animations, hence I will likely have to tweak the events to fit within these bounds. Total schedule for v0.80 is expected to be 10 weeks, split as per follows.

• Outline / sets / clothing - 1 week
• Writing / coding - 2 weeks
• Images - 5 weeks
• Animations - 1 week
• Final coding / testing - 1 week

Once I have written the script / code, I will share the progress schedule in the weekly report. At this point, I will know exactly how many images are needed for each scene and hence be able to accurately report.
