If you actually want to know how healthy someone is, you need blood panels and other actual scientific assessments; you can't just look at someone and go, "Ah, mine own eyes revealeth the truth!"

I mean aside from the way saying "the worst thing you can be is overweight" makes an overweight person feel about themselves which makes such a statement not reasonable to say to begin with, but that's just patently false.

2024-10-20 04:53:46 +0000 UTCPersonally dislike the framing of overweight=unhealthy because it's just accepting the same framework that some bodies would be good to be changed, just from the perspective of saying it's class issue. I can agree on food security and quality, as well as free time as all being things that are scarce when financially and temporally poor, and should be amended. I can't agree however with the framing of doing so would lead to a desirable change in bodies because those bodies are deemed indicative of problems and thus the bodies are a problem to be solved. Also y'all were almost there with realizing the whole "you didn't earn that weight loss" concept behind using ozempic, so that if you don't use it you're shamed and if you do use it you're shamed. Fatmisia has a disgusting grip in western society.
