Hacksaw Ridge - REACTION

Comments

One of my favorites that we've done so far!!!

Kelsea Sisler

Thank you Kelsea and Jarrett! Both of you gave such great takes in this reaction. This movie is beyond awesome.

Terry Yelmene

Stop bragging you Aussie so & so, Arch. haha! I must mention that Andrew Garfield, the lead, is mostly English - he was raised in England, his Mother is English and his dad has English parents. Quality shows! lol

Hey guys. Welcome back Jarrett. 😊 With your Independance Day just gone I thought you guys might watch The Patriot, another Mel Gibson (acting) masterpiece, (and Heath Ledger) but I'm certainly good with Hacksaw as an alternative. I'm with you guys. This is my fav war movie; eclipsing Saving Private Ryan and We were Soldiers (another Mel Gibson film) in that order. The true story wins it for me. I guess The Patriot is a war movie, as is Braveheart, but I'm only including modern warfare entrants, otherwise I might reconsider my preferences. You guys said everything there was to say about the movie, so I'm here to boast about the Aussie content. Hacksaw was directed by Mel Gibson, an Aussie. Hugo Weaving (The Matrix) was the dad. He's Australian. Rachel Griffiths, (The mom, who stared in Six feet Under) is Australian, as is Sam Worthington (Avatar) and Teresa Palmer who played Dorothy Doss (She stars in 'A Discovery of Witches', which is good, and a great film called 'I am number Four'... where she's the sexy 'Number Six'.) Luke Bracy, who plays Smithy, is Australian, and so is Milo Gibson, Mel's sixth oldest son, who plays Lucky Ford. Richard Pyros (Teach) is an Aussie and so is Luke Pegler (Hollywood) and Darcy Bryce, (Young Desmond.) Like Fury Road, the cast are 95% Australian. 😁 Okay, I'm boring you. I'll shut up now. Great reaction guys. We need more!!! Hint: Furiosa, The Back to the Future trilogy (For something lighter and fun), and Pride and Prejudice. (For something mushy.)
