Yes y’all have got to continue with the other films Patriot Games then Clear & Present Danger. Harrison Ford takes over the role of Jack Ryan in those films. Great 90s political/military thrillers. I hope y’all will watch them too.

Agree with the Crimson Tide recommendation but can't believe nobody has recommended Das Boot. If you want submarine realism, this can't be beaten and one of the finest war/antiwar movies ever made.

So happy that you guys enjoyed the movie. It is based on the novel by Tom Clancy, it was one of my favorite books growing up. The Harrison Ford Jack Ryan movies were pretty good too, maybe future reactions. You can probably skip any movies after those, not the best. I had been enjoying your channel on YouTube but I decided to join the Patreon because your reaction channel is the best in my opinion, a lot of reactors out there, but you guys just get it. Keep up the great work!

Great reaction! I love this movie and remember when it first came out. All the characters were really well done- I liked Sam Neill’s character too and was saddened by his death. I once toured a WWII submarine and of course it wasn’t as large and sophisticated as submarines of today but it was amazing to see how they had to utilize every inch of space available. Even the floors were covered with canned food so you were walking on giant tins of fruit, tomatoes, etc. “Hot bunks” meant the crew took turns sleeping in the same bunk, just rotating shifts so when you were done and going to bed, someone starting his shift was getting out of that same bunk. I agree, the ocean terrifies me and that submarine could be your lifeboat or coffin. 🙁

I totally agree that when Sam's character died it was so sad, all he wanted from this was a simple nice life here. but don't feel bad about feeling he might have been the bad guy, after seeing Event Horizon its very easy to see him in that way. lol
