EARLY: Lufisto Talks Issues With AEW, Her Dark Match Experience, More

Lufisto explains her AEW experience. We were going to post early notes, but after the way the story was aggregated last week, we decided to post this early for all subscribers

Comments

And the other side of the coin, the responses that blankly denies her story with ad hominems, same difference. We do not have all the knowledge to know what happened.

Rune Madsen

Turns out, the dogpilers are in the mud today. Turns out, just blindly believing one side of a story before getting multiple perspectives isn't the adult thing to do.

rocksolid124

I take it all the nay-sayers are willfully ignoring what SRS said about having heard similar stories from other wrestlers both male and female?

Rune Madsen

Thought this was a rambling mess. Lots of bitterness and paranoia create a distorted mind set. Taking shots at Skye Blue was unnecessary as well. Seems there is a reason LuFisto was never signed anywhere. And her tweets tonight are attention seeking so mission accomplished on her end. Went scorched earth for a reason.

Brian Bayless

She sounds super paranoid. From her story it sounds like Dustin was being sarcastic about the Canadian but she took it seriously. Also why throw shade at Skye Blue? Another thing, don't all wrestling locker rooms have cliques they hang out with? She cast so much shade on everyone in the company. Most of this sounds like sour grapes because she didn't get hired.

Dave Langer

My bro, you’ve hit up every single comment thread slanggin that lufisto boner and you talking about terminally online, like your not that guy? My man? My man.

Geo

Yeah, I'm gonna have to hear the various sides of the story before passing judgment. Not saying she's wrong of course, but I'm an adult, and adults don't just take one person's recollection as gospel.

rocksolid124

This is a rambling mess…..

Richee Edwards

I'm very curious about the history (if any?) of Lufisto with The Bunny (also Canadian).

Bevan Shortridge

Or they could just not respond and move on with their business. Only the terminally online will care about this in a week.

Jason O'Dell

If it isn't true they should defend themselves and tell their side. Unless/until they do she is the only story out there on the situation

Troy A Palek

I caught the sarcasm. Lol.

Troy A Palek

Okay. Well that's your opinion. I'm not going to put blind faith into what sounds like sour grapes. Plus again, her side of the story told from her point of view.

Jason O'Dell

She has no reason to lie. She knows she will never be hired by them or WWE, and by speaking on her experience others may feel open to speaking on theirs. And maybe things will change.

Jennifer Logsdon

There are parts of this interview that just converge to branching topics and is somewhat hard to follow. Almost like a rant.

slick

Feel bad for Lufisto. You can hear the hurt in her voice.

Justin Kendall

Should I have put /s after it to make the obvious sarcasm even more obvious?

Jason O'Dell

I’m no fightful mod or anything but I’m not sure comments wishing violence on another human being is something they appreciate

Justmask

You quit with that logic. It's because AEW is evil and TK should be hanged.

Jason O'Dell

Still just her side though.

Jason O'Dell

Great interview... What a mess.

Almaida

Because it comes off as one hundred percent authentic

Hunter Camp

Well that's her side of the story. I don't know why everyone in the comments is so quick to take her word as the 100% fact.

Jason O'Dell

When she talks about women being intentionally told to do things that make them look bad makes me remember the time Allie Katch was on Dark and had a weird match.

Matthew Bamford

This doesn't sound good at all. And if we're honest most of us could have kind of predicted what would be said. We all know the issues AEW has

Jack McInally

Super interested in hearing the other side of the story

Richman

Also was surprised to hear Ruby at the center of this. I haven't followed her career but it seemed like the whole wwe lockerroom was devastated when she left. Thought there was universal praise for her backstage leadership?

Mike

Summer 2022 was when shit was hitting the fan in AEW so not surprised to hear how bad it was in April with a lot of stuff simmering. I'd be really curious to hear how talent compare the vibes today to last summer and if it has had continual improvement since the meetings in fall 2022 and with additional hires/ restructuring.

Mike

Problems start at the top. If this is indeed the situation, it's all on Tony.

Tempo1337

Feels like a bad structure/culture fit more than anything, especially since she only worked one show

Robert Harding

Wow, that was one of the most honest interviews I’ve ever heard with a wrestler actually speaking their mind. Very refreshing. Great job in letting her tell her side of the story, let’s see if the other parts involved comment. It’s safe to say that what Mox said about the AEW locker room having so much HS drama is true.

Daniel Ralda

Thanks for uploading this. Really disappointed with the behavior some of the mentioned wrestlers and producers demonstrated as told by Lufisto.
