Milk and Cookies

To her delight, she spotted a large plate of cookies that grandma had baked earlier that day. Susie opened the fridge and poured a tall glass of milk from the milk bottle the milkman had left on their doorstep that morning. She sat down on a little wooden stool, the cookies balanced on her lap. Susie took a large, comforting bite out of one of the crunchy cookies. The memories of the nightmare were already drifting away...
