Even if true, this isn't a Peer Reviewed Journal. In day to day speech, we misuse grammar all the time (I'd argue it isn't even necessarily incorrect). If anything, it adds flavor; they're cartoon characters after all. Not chewing you out of course, just my 2 pence.

Grammatically shouldn’t it be “didn’t use to”, as it’s already describing the past, and is basically a descriptive of something that happened (or didn’t happen) in the past?
“Used” in this definition is generally used for describing past routines
