I had some stomach issues slow me down yesterday, but today I've made it to THAT scene.

More Book 3 Revisions

You know, I honestly didn't think the third chapter would benefit as much from colour touch ups like LOG:02 did, but I'm digging the results. I mean, I haven't really totally transformed any pages like I did with LOG:02, but these are still some pretty big improvements if I say so myself.

LOG:03 Update Progression

Hey everyone! I am neck deep in LOG:03 revisions and wanted to share a peek at how the new version will look. This page here doesn't have a massive art change, I didn't redraw anything, but I did make the colours pop a lot more and fixed some atrocious word balloons.

The text changes don't alter the story, but I think they make the scene read better. That's one of the things I'm trying to do with the revised edition of each chapter, make it more readable. Plot points clearer.

LOG:02 Remastered is LIVE!

It took me several hours because I also wound up updating LOG:01 to use all of the current/print edition pages. Before I'd only updated those pages in LOG:01 where I'd redrawn art or changed text. Now all of them are updated and look a lot nicer.

I am hard at work on updating LOG:03, I'm hoping to have those revisions done by the end of the month. The art improvements in LOG:03 aren't quite as drastic as those in 01 and 02, but it still looks nicer and there will be some extended/altere...

Book 2 and Website Status Update Sort Of

Sprawl LOG:02 And Website Update

Ok, so today I finished the final revisions for the second Sprawl book and sent the files off to the publisher. I've not heard back yet, but hopefully by Monday they can give me an estimated timeline for when the book will become available. I'm going to pass out for now but keep an eye on this Patreon page for an update once I know when book 2 will be available.

Website Update

Oh, also, I have no idea what is going on with Katbox right now. I was told my site would be up by Monday, but that was last week. Monday came and went. I've used it as an excuse to focus on getting the books ready for print, and I'll likely continue to do that and just resume working on LOG:05 once the site is up again.

 Right now I plan to have book 3 ready in time for Anthrocon this summer. After that, I'll focus on LOG:05, because I do not want to release book 4 until LOG:05 is...

Cooming Sooner Than You'd Think!

For the past week or two I've done nothing but work on book 2, getting it ready for print. I'd wake up in the morning, eat, then dive into work, stopping only to eat again once or twice more before bedtime. Then I'd reluctantly drag myself to bed, pass out, only to wake up about 8 hours later and do the whole thing again.

LOG:02 Print Edition Preview

I don't want to give all of the new material away before the book is done, but wanted to share some of what I've been up to. Most of the revisions are like what you see on this page. The art has been cleaned up, the colour work much improved. Panels have been reformatted where necessary to work with a standard comic printing template. Some of the dialog has been changed to make plot elements more clear, or just so that the pages read better.

The difference 5 years makes.

Just like with LOG:01, I'm doing a complete remaster and revised version of LOG:02 for its book release later this year. Here you can see some of the changes. This is going to be one gorgeous book. In the original version of LOG:02 the orb doesn't appear at all, only the casing Getta placed it in at the end of the first chapter. Here we can see the scene has been expanded with Professor Bohte getting a closer look at it.

LOG:05 - Page 16

I've been eager to get to this scene for years now. I've been extremely happy with Vice President Scrimm's design since I did the 04 and 05 concept art something like 2 years ago. Here's that concept art again, I posted it a while back.

That said, I might tweak the colours on this a bit before uploading it to the website. Anyway, enjoy!

LOG:02 Book Sneak Peek

Giving you guys a peek at the differences between the book edition and web edition of LOG:02. Here's one of the pages that is being replaced for the book edition, alongside the page replacing it.

Me Time Sprawl Work

So, spent most of today working on stuff for other people, but when it came to "me time" I still had it in me to work on The Sprawl some more. Somehow managed to knock out the linework for an entire page. And this was a fun page to do. Still a work in progress, obviously, but figured I'd share before crawling into bed for the night.

Yeah, so....after I posted the linework yesterday I got a lot of the flatting work done, so....I finished it.

Accidental Comic Linework

So, yeah. Was planning to focus on freelance work today, but I also had a doctor's appointment. That meant almost an hour's ride there and an hour's ride back, and plenty of waiting room time inbetween. With all of that time and nothing better to do with it, I ended up cleaning up the linework for the next page.

I'm still going to hold off on the colours until next week, but in the meantime enjoy a great lineup showing the size differences between a bunch of the characters.

Happy New Year, everybody!

The last page I'm posting for you guys in 2018 will be the first page to go up in 2019 this Wednesday.

2018 was rocky from the start, but the ride got bumpier later in the year. Hopefully things will improve going into 2019. My goal for the year is to get back to weekly Sprawl updates ASAP. Not going to make any promises on when, but I'm aiming for that.

LOG:05 - Page 10

Thank you guys again for your patience on this page. Again, I'm hoping being done with the move means things will quiet down, but I'm also still job hunting and will probably begin working a temp job beginning in the next week or two, after I meet a couple of freelance deadlines.

Page 11 is going to be a challenge. One of those full page, uber-detailed pages. But I think you'll all enjoy it and what's to come.

Another News Update

I've moved! I also have internet! Sort of! In any case it's enough to update the comic. Speaking of, while I was unable to finish the page as I was moving but it is almost done now and I expect to be posting it tomorrow. I also hope to have some exciting news within the week.

Status Update 11/21/2018

So it turns out promising a page the same week I have two doctors appointments, Thanksgiving, and moving, all in the same week, was, in the words of Tony Stark, "Not a great plan."

I'll get the new page up as soon as it's done and I have internet access...because I'm not sure when the internet will be ready post-move. In any case, I'll keep you guys updated with posts even if I have to make them through my phone until I'm all settled in with internet at the new place.

News Update - Moving Adventures

 I move between the 23rd and the 25th. Once I'm moved into my new apartment in the new city I'm already registered with a temp agency there and ready to start getting work through them after the move. Since I wasn't able to get around freely while staying with my sister and my apartment hunting is done I'm back in my old apartment taking care of doctor's appointments and getting things ready here for the move.
