Hi,
in the final stretch another bug has crept into the Beacon of Stars and Assembly Code and causes crashs when you enter the Beacon Control Room.
Note: his error affects only players who started a new game with V140_11/11a
I prepared the patched version 140_V12 below.
Download V140_12 and install
Load your saves (must be save BEFORE Beacon crash error happened)
SLEEP ONE NIGHT (and patch is applied)

Hi,
V1.40 Early Access I is running well with Version V140_07 (no game blockers found) but there's a number of smaller issues (gallery unlocks missing, etc...).
Currently I am doing a full play-through from Zero to catch all reported bugs in preparation for Early Access II (will be V140_08). Also tweaking balancing a bit as I go.
Early Access II on 25th looks good imho.

Hi,
the Beta Testers have been busy and reported 24 items (3 major) so far. All but one minor have been fixed today. Also I completed the first Version of the 1.40 Walkthrough/Reference.
Tomorrow I'll make the V 1.40 Release Candidate for Early Access Phase I for Release on 17th and write the Release Notes.
After that I'll take a breather and do some character variation NSFW renders for relaxation...

Hi,
today I set up the final scene for SJX 1.40 which was part of the ending!
I'll proceed to integration test tomorrow, linking in assets and replacing animation low rez placeholders with hi rez renders as I go. BETA should be available on 12th.

the last two days I was sucked into coding the Beacon of Assembly. Originally I just wanted to make a puzzle (bootstrap the Beacon by providing some materials) out of it but story wise that was weak so i decided to implement an Industrial Replicator Instead.
Finally I have found a use for all the Swarm Materials (the main ingredients for the Replicator)!

today I continued working on the Beacon Tower Minigames (no crappy shift puzzles, I promise). They are all somehow linked to items or knowledge you have gained over your adventure.
Game Progress is at 94%. I should be able to start integration testing on 5th or 6th. Today I commissioned the End Credit Theme for the Game from an artist (the same one who did the Intro Soundtrack, great guy). Will probably cost me around 100$, which is very reasonable imho.

Hi,
Progress on v1.40 has reached 92%. I have finished the last sex scene rework and written about half of the ending.
See attached list. I removed the bugfixes from DEV versions to make the list more concise.
Main remaining work is to render out the draft animations in high resolution and to finalize the beacon challenges. This should take me another two or three days. BETA for VIP who have registered will start at latest 10th, maybe a few days earlier.

Hi,
in a quick VIP Poll the question has been answered who shall be the 5th Crew member for the MC to have Sex with. Vee, T'Ris and Nimhe were in v1.30, Moira was set for V1.40 and the candidates were Khelara, Seraphine and Envoy Ylyee.
Seraphine won with around 54%, Khelara had 37% and Ylee around 9 % across Patreon and SubStar.
So Seraphine it is. I set up her Animation today and made this Extra Render using the Setup.

this week I plan to complete all content for V1.40 so that integration and testing can start. I am currently at 86% of content and will post a regular progress sheet, so you can see the progress even if we should have a few days delay. for 1.40 I wanted to include the Casanova Achievement (have Sex with 5 Crew Members...).
Vee, T'Ris, Moira and Nimhe are fixed (and Verity doesn't count in that sense)

Hi,
today I finalized the code and renders for VIP-selected Character 1 (T'Ris) Mess Hall Dances.
To get a bit more interactivity you can cycle through the dance moves and the character learns new moves the more they dance :)
I also made the framework for all other characters already.

Hi,
it seems these days many companies expand their TOC. Patreon just informed all creators that games (a) should make clear all characters are of age and (b) using the likeness of a real person / character need to get that persons agreement.
Point (a) is good and high time I think if considering some anime games out there on the edge.... Point (b) might put quite a few games under pressure I suppose, especially those who are a too close parody of some movie or universe.

I've been busy working on Moira's training part the last days. Almost finished now. I set up the outfit for the last animation and made this gratuitous scene render in DAZ.
Assets are from a very nice Interior Design Kit I used quite often for quick scene mockups , as it has nice textures and a bunch of different items.

Hi,
today I have been working mostly on Moira's SLU progress. As I have to take that from 0 all the way to n-th base it is quite a lot of work. 4-5 full animations, a ton of cutscenes, paint-overs, ...
This allowed me for the first time to use Affinity Photo (Adobe Replacement) and it works like a charm (see screenshot). Some esoteric layer functions and dynamic layer stuff are not 1:1, but as to my my workflow it is a 100% substitute. Even the screen layout is similar.
